An earthquake measuring 5.9 rocked the East Coast on Tuesday, shaking buildings in Washington, DC and forcing evacuations as far away as New York. Even the Pentagon was evacuated after the region’s rare earthquake which had its epicenter in and around Richmond, Virginia, said the US Geological Survey.
I’m curious why the Pentagon would be evacuated, however. It is supposedly a hardened structure, built to withstand air strikes (except on September 11th, 2001. Guess that ballistic missile made it through, eh?).
The US Capitol and monuments in the nation’s capital were all evacuated after the quake, which was shallow with its epicenter only 0.1 mile underground.
Reuters stated that the earthquake was closer to 6.2 on the Richter, but their source is unknown at the time.

Interesting quake, though. Timed as a hurricane approaches the Eastern seaboard, in a region not known for seismic activity, nor having any plates edges to cause such a disruption. Still looking around at this event. I won’t jump into conspiracies…yet. But I find it highly unusual and interesting.

Okay, I lied. Consider the above link an exercise in conspiracy theories. I got to thinking and remembered reading about some anomalous, and potentially electromagnetic, interference in Hurricane Ophelia as it was on track to hit the Washington, DC area a few years ago. Have a look at the microwave imagery and see what you think.
