Air Conditioning Cost for US Military in MidEast More Than Total NASA Budget Thumbnail

Air Conditioning Cost for US Military in MidEast More Than Total NASA Budget

The United States spends $20.2 billion annually on air conditioning for troops stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan — more than NASA’s entire budgetNPR reported.

In fact, the same amount of money that keeps soldiers cool is the amount the G-8 has committed to helping the fledgling democracies in Tunisia and Egypt.

The necessary cooling costs so much because of the remote locations and danger involved in delivery equipment and fuel says Steven Anderson, a retired logistician who served under Gen. David Petraeus in Iraq.

“When you consider the cost to deliver the fuel to some of the most isolated places in the world — escorting, command and control, med-evac support — when you throw all that infrastructure in, we’re talking over $20 billion,” Anderson told NPR. “You’ve got risks that are associated with moving the fuel almost every mile of the way.”

Hayden’s Note:

Funny that they mention the costs involved in moving the fuel “almost every mile of the way.”  Previously, we’ve discussed the insane ways in which the poppy fields and strategic roadways are controlled by warlords and at least in the southern Helmand Province, by the Afghan President’s own brother. ...

CIA Report: United States Account Balance – Negative $561 Billion Thumbnail

CIA Report: United States Account Balance – Negative $561 Billion

Posted on Jun 23, 2011 in Alphabet Agencies & Operations, Featured Articles – Kevin Hayden

The Central Intelligence Agency often reports interesting tidbits in their online publication, The World Factbook.  A reader sent me a link pointing towards the “current account balance” of all the countries in the world.  The entry records a country’s net trade in goods and services, plus net earnings from rents, interest, profits, and dividends, and net transfer payments (such as pension funds and worker remittances) to and from the rest of the world during the period specified.

Guess who is in the lead?  And guess who it towards the bottom?

China leads the world by a long shot, with Greece, Portugal and other EU countries such as France bringing up the tail-end (hence, the austerity measures, riots, etc).  Of course, as we all guessed it; the United States is in dead last place with a total account deficit of around $561 Billion.  And these are the 2010 figures.  At this rate, we will soon be into the trillions, if not already.  Depending on what part of 2010 these figures are from, it could be close to 18 months old....

Corporate-Funded “People’s” Movement: Globalist Puppets and Their Army of Dupes

Surely a movement run by a man working with foreign interests against his own nation would be considered sedition in every sense of the word. And regardless of how well-intentioned followers of such a movement were, ultimately their efforts would be contributing to a future entirely removed from their genuine ideals of progress and change.

Progress is not only an attractive motivation for political participation, it is a responsibility for those who wish to leave future generations with something more than what they have now. However, danger arises when progress is pursued politically rather than pragmatically, where people, not solutions are hoisted to the pinnacle of our attention and efforts. This is precisely the case unfolding in Thailand, where a man, Thaksin Shinawatra, his party, and his agenda have taken to the driver’s seat of a contrived social movement called the “red shirts” and ultimately threaten the destiny of the very people committed to this hoax.

Thaksin Shinawatra himself was a former adviser to the globalist equity firm, the Carlyle Group, and was literally standing in front of the CFR in NYC on the eve of his ousting from power in 2006....

12 Significant Events That the Mockingbird Media is Currently Ignoring

As the mainstream media continues to be obsessed with Anthony Weiner and his bizarre adventures on Twitter, much more serious events are happening around the world that are getting very little attention.  In America today, if the mainstream media does not cover something it is almost as if it never happened. Right now, the worst nuclear disaster in human history continues to unfold in Japan , U.S. nuclear facilities are being threatened by flood waters, the U.S. military is bombing Yemen, gigantic cracks in the earth are appearing all over the globe and the largest wildfire in Arizona history is causing immense devastation.  But Anthony Weiner, Bristol Palin and Miss USA are what the mainstream media want to tell us about and most Americans are buying it.

In times like these, it is more important than ever to think for ourselves.  The corporate-owned mainstream media is not interested in looking out for us.  Rather, they are going to tell us whatever fits with the agenda that their owners are pushing.

The Road to Global Governance

The planet is in a constant phase of artificial restructuring; that is, an evolutionary process that is not natural. Forces we pay little attention to are guiding our nations and our very lives. Let us begin our voyage at the early part of the 20th century, circa 1909.

Congressional investigator for the Reece Committee on the illicit actions of tax-exempt foundations, Norman Dodd, very well documented the subversive agenda of such organizations during the mid-20th century.[1] Having had the privilege to view the minutes of early meetings (i.e. 1909) from the Carnegie Endowment, he came across discussions on modes of societal control.[2] War (as later affirmed again in the 1967 Report from Iron Mountain), they concluded, was the ultimate mode of control.[3] The question that followed was: how to induce the United States into a war? Five years later, we had our first great war for civilization, obviously implicating the foundation networks in their agenda.

Clearly, the events leading up to the First World War were not some organic process. Even Gavrilo Princip’s secret Serbian society, the Black Hand, had reported connections to various intelligence agencies, which is likely the case of any other secret society today (i.e....

The Federal Reserve Cartel, Part II: The Freemason Bank of the US & The House of Rothschild

Posted on Jun 14, 2011 in Blog, Editorials, & Thoughts, Featured Articles, Federal Reserve & Bankers – Kevin Hayden

Source: Dean Henderson via

In 1789 Alexander Hamilton became the first Treasury Secretary of the United States.  Hamilton was one of many Founding Fathers who were Freemasons. He had close relations with the Rothschild family which owns the Bank of England and leads the European Freemason movement.  George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, John Jay, Ethan Allen, Samuel Adams, Patrick Henry, John Brown and Roger Sherman were all Masons.

Roger Livingston helped Sherman and Franklin write the Declaration of Independence. He gave George Washington his oaths of office while he was Grand Master of the New York Grand Lodge of Freemasons.  Washington himself was Grand Master of the Virginia Lodge.  Of the General Officers in the Revolutionary Army, thirty-three were Masons.  This was highly symbolic since 33rd Degree Masons become Illuminated. [1]

Populist founding fathers led by John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison and Thomas Paine- none of whom were Masons- wanted to completely severe ties with the British Crown, but were overruled by the Masonic faction led by Washington, Hamilton and Grand Master of the St....

10 Most Influential People in Alternative Media, 2011

Posted on Jun 13, 2011 in Featured Articles – Kevin Hayden

Many readers will expect to see Matt Drudge or Arianna Huffington on this list.  Although they both indeed have leading Internet news websites that cover some fringe stories and report on systematic injustices more so than the mainstream media, they primarily aggregate mainline news.  Therefore, they are excluded from our “alternative media” label.

Hayden’s Note:

Sadly, Your’s Truly did not even make the Honorable Mentions list… maybe next year.  Le sigh.  However, a lot of really hard-working, great bloggers and personalities did, such as Doug Owen, Cassandra Anderson, the Intel Hub and Global Research.  Maybe I should get back to writing more original articles, eh?  (Still welcoming original content from readers… ahem.)

The criteria we’ve chosen to base these rankings of the most influential alternative media figures are the following;

  • people that have the courage to seek the truth no matter where the information leads them;
  • those with the courage to question 9/11;
  • those who don’t buy into the false left-right political paradigm;
  • those who are grounded in peace and liberty;
  • those with the communication skills and platform to affect real change

Significantly, each of the people who made our list is clearly driven by unyielding passion.  ...

Do You Think You’re Free? Ask Yourself These Questions

I don’t come to the United States very often, and when I do there’s usually a pretty good reason. In this case, it’s because of the annual Atlas 400 meeting which kicks off today in New York. I get a ton of value out of the group, and for me it’s worth making these trips (you can find out more about Atlas here.)

Because my US visits are generally short and sporadically infrequent, I’m highly attuned to little changes; this is something like out-of-town relatives who notice how much a child has grown over a period of several months, whereas parents seldom notice the small, daily changes.

On the surface, it seems like a pleasant enough place. Underneath the facade of shopping malls and little league, though, there are clear signs of decay. Eroding economic opportunities, increased bureaucracy, emerging class warfare, police state conditions, deteriorating infrastructure, reduced quality in service, etc.

Again, these changes are more acutely felt when you’ve been gone for a while because you have fewer recent experiences to normalize the extremity of a new incident....

Whole Foods Shrugs Its Shoulders Over GMOs, Tries to Play Victim – Hayden’s Note

Posted on Jun 07, 2011 in Featured Articles, Health, Food News, & Big Pharma – Kevin Hayden

Source: Tara Green – Natural News

Genetically modified foods have become so ubiquitous in the US that even the grocery store ‘Whole Foods’ now admits it cannot keep biotech foods off its shelves. A representative for the corporation acknowledged in May of 2011 that the realities of the marketplace have forced a shift in the company’s previous no-GMO’s policy.

Joe Dickson, quality standards coordinator for Whole Foods Markets, notes that GMO’s dominate the market, especially for corn, soy and canola crops from which ingredients in most processed foods are derived. “Until there’s federal government mandated labeling of GMO ingredients, there’s no way to tell if packaged products contain GMO ingredients,” Dickson said. “Our approach is to work in the spirit of partnership with our suppliers … to encourage them to take active steps to avoid GMO ingredients.”

In spite of public skepticism about GMO foods, the FDA has backed Monsanto and other corporations, declaring that modified foods do not require special labeling letting consumers know they are eating Frankenfoods. This is in contrast to the European Union, where public concern over health issues resulted in a moratorium on GMO’s....

Perception, American Austerity and Financial Terrorism

“And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.”
-Friedrich Nietszche (Philosopher, 1844-1900)

Truly, a lot is happening. As Spring became Summer, America has legislated its way into a full-blown terrorist state. The currency is totally debauched. The US cannot borrow any more from its loan-sharking creditors, and is faced with austerity. Like surgeons, central economic planners are calibrating inflation all over the world to provoke reaction and harness the emotion produced from reaction. America’s debt limit has been reached, causing Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner to extend the final date of come-uppance to August 2, by raiding federal pensions. If you have a federal pension, or really any pension that you think you might have you may like to read that letter here.

Since the alleged raid and shooting death of an unarmed, multi-spoused bin Laden, the controllers of monetary policy and all their political, legal, and military tentacles that support that control sped into full gear. It will have been two years this summer since Timmy Geithner traveled to China and was laughed at when he spoke about the solvency of the U.S.

(Part one of a four-part series)
The Four Horsemen of Banking (Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase, Citigroup and Wells Fargo) own the Four Horsemen of Oil (Exxon Mobil, Royal Dutch/Shell, BP Amoco and Chevron Texaco); in tandem with Deutsche Bank, BNP, Barclays and other European old money behemoths.  But their monopoly over the global economy does not end at the edge of the oil patch.
According to company 10K filings to the SEC, the Four Horsemen of Banking are among the top ten stock holders of virtually every Fortune 500 corporation. [1]
So who then are the stockholders in these money center banks?
This information is guarded much more closely.  My queries to bank regulatory agencies regarding stock ownership in the top 25 US bank holding companies were given Freedom of Information Act status, before being denied on “national security” grounds.  This is rather ironic, since many of the bank’s stockholders reside in Europe.
One important repository for the wealth of the global oligarchy that owns these bank holding companies is US Trust Corporation – founded in 1853 and now owned by Bank of America.

The Patriot Act: When Truth Becomes Treason

Posted on May 27, 2011 in Featured Articles, Police, Military, & War – Kevin Hayden

Dissident Voice – Susan Lindauer

Many Americans think they understand the dangers of the Patriot Act, which Congress has vowed to extend 4 more years in a vote later this week. Trust me when I say, Americans are not nearly frightened enough.

Ever wonder why the truth about 9/11 never got exposed? Why Americans don’t have a clue about leadership fraud surrounding the War on Terror? Why Americans don’t know if the 9/11 investigation was really successful? Why the Iraqi Peace Option draws a blank? Somebody has known the whereabouts of Osama bin Laden— or his grave—for the past 10 years. But nobody’s talking to the people.

In significant part, that’s because of the Patriot Act— a law that equates free speech with sedition. It’s got a big agenda, with 7,000 pages of Machiavellian code designed to interrupt individual questioning of government policy. In this brave new world, free speech under the Bill of Rights effectively has been declared a threat to government controls for maintaining stability. And the Patriot Act has become the premiere weapon to attack whistle blowers and dissidents who challenge the comfort of political leaders hiding inconvenient truths from the public....

Bankrupt Nations Try to Stop the Future from Happening Through the IMF: FAIL

Debt is slavery… or at least indentured servitude of the worst kind.  That looming mortgage, the high interest credit card debt, the short-term car loan– these are the forces that keep people from breaking free and taking action.

Ironically, debt begets more debt. According to FinAid, the average US student loan debt for a four-year private university graduate is nearly $36,000, and $24,000 for public. Throw in that first car loan and maybe a mortgage, and suddenly you’re staring at hundreds of thousands of dollars in demoralizing claims on your future income.

At this point, most people figure… ‘hey, I’m already in debt up to my nose, might as well get in up to my eyeballs and buy a new plasma screen on credit.’

Debt is an enormous psychological burden that influences life’s major decisions. It’s why so many people stay committed to jobs that are unfulfilling in cities they detest under conditions they find disheartening. Nobody wants to rock the boat too much… take too many risks and you could lose your job, and hence the ability to make those monthly payments....

Real Revolutionaries and Sovereignty

Posted on May 24, 2011 in Constitutional & Liberty Issues, Featured Articles – Kevin Hayden

Source: Activist Post

While misguided youth light their cities on fire around the world, clashing with local police and battling with their fellow countrymen, all to the beat of US-funded opposition groups, real revolutionaries are quietly, pragmatically, and intelligently changing society. They do so not with placards, mobs, slogans, or aspirations for political power, but with the declaration, enumeration, and exercise of their innate sovereignty. While we naively hope for a political solution to mete out an equitable distribution of wealth and resources within a system created by hording megalomaniacs, there are those amongst us that understand the only way to solve the immense disparity throughout this world is to stop paying into the system that created it in the first place, and to take responsibility for the world around us on a local level.

One such man is Mr. Douglas Wollmar of Trenton, Maine. Having been inspired by the “Food Sovereignty Ordinance” passed by the neighboring towns of Sedgwick, Penobscot, and Blue Hill, he himself pushed for a similar ordinance to be passed in his own town....

The War on Milk – GM Dairy and Cancer Links

Posted on May 19, 2011 in Constitutional & Liberty Issues, Featured Articles, Health, Food News, & Big Pharma – Kevin Hayden

Source: Activist – Brandon Turbeville

I wrote an article recently detailing the impacts of rBGH on the welfare of dairy cows. I explained how the use of rBGH was responsible for increased rates of mastitis and how rBGH injections actually have the potential to decrease milk production. Yet, aside from the damage to the animals, rBGH usage is significant in that it also affects humans consuming the milk.

This is because Insulin Growth Factor 1 (IGF-1), another powerful hormone increased in the animals’ system by injections of rBGH, lingers in the milk and has been linked to breast, colon, and prostate cancer in humans.[1]

IGF-1 is present naturally in both cows and humans, and is important for mediating cellular response to growth hormones. While the growth hormones themselves are quite different, cow and human IGF-1 are identical to one another.[2]

Humans consume their own IGF-1 which is digested in the stomach and, obviously, is harmless. However, the IGF-1 present in cow milk, especially that which comes from animals that were treated with rBGH survives digestion and moves to the intestinal tract....
