What you are about to read is 100% true to the best of my knowledge, and it all started in September of 2012 when we were in the process of launching the Natural News Store and receiving organic certification from the USDA.

Many farmers in Colorado will be expanding their list of planted crops this Spring after groundbreaking legislation was passed last November that allowed not only for the legalization of marijuana, but hemp as well. Now in case you’re not familiar, hemp is actually a multi-purpose substance that does not produce the high effects of marijuana. In fact, it’s mainly used as a super cheap and highly efficient building material — at least in other nations where ridiculous bans are not enforced on the ‘high-free’ material.

Colorado farmers like Michael Bowman will be planting 100 acres of hemp to be harvested and sold off as not only building material, but a highly nutritious superfood. While marijuana is considerably high in the substance known as THC (delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol), which of course is the compound that produces the ‘high’ effects, it’s also significantly low in what’s known as CDB (cannabidiol). That’s where hemp comes in. [It is high in CBD while being relatively THC-free, if not sterile.]

Naperville, IL, resident Malia “Kim” Bendis and her neighbor were arrested on eavesdropping and resisting an officer charges after video recording two police officers and utility workers installing a “smart meter” – which have been linked to health issues – on her neighbor’s house.  The home owner, identified only as Laura, is clearly seen on video refusing consent for the utility workers and police to be on her property, along with expressing concerns for her child’s health and safety, but is threatened with arrest if she interferes.

What happened to 4th Amendment requirements? What happened to private property laws?

Why are the police masquerading as enforcing City Hall requirements when in reality, they are protecting a private company?

Illinois citizens are still being arrested for recording police officers despite a 7th Circuit Court of Appeals ruling last year that blocked the enforcement of the law on the grounds that it was unconstitutional.

The law, which made it a felony to record them, even while acting in their official role as a public servant – in public, where no expectation of privacy is considered – is highly illogical, especially in this particular case....

The approval process in many countries for genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and their chemical-based treatment technologies is largely a secretive affair, as the public is typically not made privy to the data used in the decision making process, nor the rationale behind officials’ ultimate decision to green-light a particular crop or chemical. But this appears to be changing in Europe, where the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) recently made public all available data originally submitted by Monsanto in 2003 for the approval of a popular GM corn variety known as NK603.

According to the Nature news blog, EFSA intends to eventually iron out a full-scale plan to make all data on GMOs and chemicals publicly available. But at this point in time, the regulatory body is starting the process by responding to requests from members of the independent scientific community and the public about the details behind NK603′s approval. With the exception of “a small amount of commercially confidential information,” EFSA has reportedly publicly released all the data submitted by Monsanto for NK603....

As you comb through the various executive orders and memorandums that Obama signed into action today, I would like you to take note of the bland nature of this “tough crackdown” on gun violence. I think it goes without saying that anyone, on either side of this “debate”, agree that criminals and those with serious-ill intent should not be in possession of a weapon or item that can cause mass casualties. That’s a no-brainer, and re-iterating it merely pays lip-service to the dumbed-down masses.  Items such as nominating an ATF Director, sponsoring a responsible gun ownership campaign, or helping to develop emergency plans for schools and houses of worship are all great ideas, if not extremely archaic and fundamental in nature.

These are actions that should not be receiving national airtime. Now, the argument as to whether the government should be spending money to educate private companies in contingency plans, or offering financial incentives for various actions is an entirely different, economic and Constitutional conversation – one that we can have, if you would like, but let’s stay on track in regards to the whole “firearms distraction.”

While there are some disturbing orders contained within this executive action, such as emphasizing medical doctor’s roles in likely creating a “no-buy” list based upon information gleaned from medical care, and aside from the strong urging for another gun and magazine ban, I am truly curious as to what else is happening in the background that we are being led away from....

Paving the way for other nations to introduce similar legislation and inform consumers what they’re really putting into their mouths, the labeling of products containing genetically modified organisms (GMOs) within the nation of India is now mandated by law. The country’s Ministry of Consumer Affairs declared in a June 5th, 2012 notice that all GMO-containing packaged foods must be labeled by January 1, 2013 or face legal repercussions.

Each package containing GM ingredients will clearly be labeled directly on the prime real estate of the package as ‘GM’. A warning that many heads of organizations and even bodies within the Indian government are praising for its ability to inform individuals as to what they are really feeding their family.

“The labeling will basically help inform the consumer about the presence of GM content in packaged food products,” said B.N.Dixit, Director, Legal Metrology, Department of Consumer Affairs.

In July, 2012, the Food and Drug Administration finally decided to ban Bisphenol A (BPA) from bottles and sippy cups. They did that to simply boost consumer confidence, and that was about it.

BPA: Regulation at the Speed of Profit Decrease

People who track the progress of BPA regulation are the same people who like glacier racing as a spectator sport. In July, as you should know, the FDA finally banned BPA from baby drinking containers because the American Chemistry Council (the lobbyists who’ve kept BPA in our bodies all these years) decided they would voluntarily do the ban and so it would make a good show if it became an official rule. I’m not being cynical (this time), even the New York Times says that’s how it is. Hey, now that’s progress – it only took the FDA two years from the 2010 reversal of their previous “BPA is safe” mantra to get it out of sippy cups. Consumer safety at the speed of light, friends.

In the fall of last year the San Antonio Northside School District in Texas announced that they would track students with RFID (radio frequency identification) chips in their student badges.

One student, sophomore Andrea Hernandez, was suspended for refusing to wear the tracking device and took the matter to court.

On Tuesday, U.S. District Judge Orlando Garcia ruled in favor of the school district claiming they have the right to expel Hernandez for refusing to abide by school requirements. By default the judge ruled that the school had the right to force children to be treated like cattle while on campus.

The program, called the “Student Locator Project,” is aimed at increasing student attendance rates presumably to boost in public funding for the district.

“There is something fundamentally disturbing about this school district’s insistence on steamrolling students into complying with programs that have nothing whatsoever to do with academic priorities and everything to do with fattening school coffers,” said John Whitehead of the Rutherford Institute when he took the case.

As part of the pilot program, roughly 4,200 students at Jay High School and Jones Middle School are being required to wear “SmartID” card badges embedded with an RFID tracking chip which will make it possible for school officials to track students’ whereabouts on campus at all times.

The preservative-free lie is being perpetuated for concerned parents and health enthusiasts, so you will still go to the school, clinic, pharmacy, grocery store, or whatever other “jab shop” that administers flu shots, and get injected with toxins, even though they may have “left out” one or two of the toxins you heard or read bad things about. People who are allergic to peanuts, soy, fish, and other common foods can have a deathly allergic reaction to even the smallest amounts of these ingredients, and that’s just when it touches their skin or they eat a “trace” amount, so then we delve into injecting toxins in trace amounts. Rather than actually take the time to address the root causes of meat and poultry contamination, which more often than not are a direct result of outrageously unsanitary factory farming practices, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has instead decided to simply up the doses of radiation that industrial food producers are allowed to blast on their filthy, contaminated meat products.

In the first new rule recently published in the Federal Register, the FDA specifies that “unrefrigerated uncooked meat” can now be irradiated right alongside refrigerated, frozen and cooked meat. And in the second new rule, the FDA increases the amount of ionizing radiation that can be applied to poultry products such as chicken by 50 percent, bumping the dosage up to 4.5 kilograys (kGy) of radiation from the previous 3.0 kGy.

USC researchers have begun examining the link between pesticide exposure and the development of prostate cancer, with scientists documenting an increased prevalence of prostate cancer among older men exposed to certain pesticides. While this news is alarming on its own, it is only one of the many dangers associated with pesticide exposure.

Exploring the Cancer Connection

Prostate cancer effects one in six men at some point during their life and is, according to the National Cancer Institute, the third most common cancer killer among men. Although diet and genetics are risk factors, research has indicated that men who are exposed to chemicals including farmers, painters, and industrial workers may also be at an increased risk of developing this deadly cancer.

I think we can file this one under, “Duh!”  While it’s great that a renowned cancer research group is establishing this as mainstream science, I am pretty sure we all sort of knew that pesticides caused cancers of various types. So, why are you still eating food that was grown and sprayed with pesticide? Why are you allowing your children to do the same?
