Disaster Hero is being developed in conjunction with the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), with funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and, in turn, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), under which FEMA operates. Due out sometime in 2011, the game promises to “focus on what to do before, during and after a disaster,” with an emphasis on “getting an emergency kit, having an emergency plan and being informed.”

How frustrating can it be to wait for hours/days eagerly for your torrent download to complete, only to find out that the file you have downloaded is exactly NOT the one you are expecting? It just difficult to judge the content of a file by its name and size, since they can be faked easily.

Howard Kunreuther and Robert Meyer have staked their careers on the belief that human beings are at heart irrational, doomed to repeat the same mistakes over and over—unless we find a way to overcome our wiring. Quake is a computer simulation that Meyer, the Gayfryd Steinberg Professor and co-director with Kunreuther of Wharton’s Risk Management and Decision Processes Center, helped design to test certain ideas about how humans perceive “risk.” Quake is very easy to play, but, as it turns out, very difficult to win.

It’s official: Mario is dead and it’s all BP’s fault. Somebody call Bowser and tell him he can keep the Princess, nobody’s coming for her. There, there, Toad, it’ll all be okay.
Well, actually no, it won’t be okay. We’re ****’ed.

What do Marlboro cigarettes, the New York Post, the LA Lakers, 85% of Australian newspapers, Playboy, MySpace and FOX News have in common?
Have you always thought that FOX News was some sort of “Republican / Conservative” supporter while CNN was the “Democrat / Liberal” channel? Ever since grade school, we are each indoctrinated into thinking we belong to the Blue Team or the Red Team.

At first glance it appears Audi is merely cashing in on the eco frenzy to sell its low emission automobiles. The larger agenda is to get the plebs accustomed to the idea that their lifestyles are crimes against the earth and in response government must tax, fine, and even arrest violators.

A record 106.5 million people watched the Saints write a storybook ending to their dream season by beating the Indianapolis Colts 31-17 in Super Bowl XLIV on CBS, according to Nielsen. That’s not only the biggest audience to date for the Super Bowl, but the biggest audience for a televised event ever — barely knocking off the finale of CBS’ “MASH,” which averaged almost 106 million viewers when it ran in 1983.
