Predictive Programming: Africa as the New Boogeyman

Many times, in order to understand where one is headed, he needs to understand what is behind him.

With overwhelming opposition to armed intervention in Syria, the global elitists’ plans seem to have been delayed a bit, but fear not, their end game is not simply Syria. Long-term plans to topple Iran, as well as continue to move further south into Africa, seem to be the goal.

And for that to happen, the West needs to establish a larger support base among the American People. The West needs a new boogeyman, as the al-Qaeda ghoul has fallen apart now that mainstream news outlets are finally admitting that we give them money, weapons, communications equipment, and provide airstrikes for their operations. Once the Syria debacle hit the headlines, regular Joe Citizen finally started to realize just how much support the US is giving to admitted members of al-Qaeda, especially as they morph into the powerful al-Nusra Front in Syria.

But Africa lies ready and ripe for the picking, not only in resources, but in enemies. With the recent, well-publicized anniversary of the ‘Black Hawk Down’ incident in Somalia, and the shooting at the Westgate shopping mall in Nairobi, Kenya, we continue to see the African continent in the news....

Reporters to Expose NSA’s Significant Role in US Assassination Program

Two American journalists are working together to expose the role of the National Security Agency in what they described as a “US assassination program.” Contributor to The Nation magazine, Jeremy Scahill, and Glenn Greenwald, who first reported Edward Snowden’s PRISM revelations, are working on the project.

“The connections between war and surveillance are clear. I don’t want to give too much away but Glenn and I are working on a project right now that has at its center how the National Security Agency plays a significant, central role in the US assassination program,” Scahill said on Saturday.

“There are so many stories that are yet to be published that we hope will produce ‘actionable intelligence,’ or information that ordinary citizens across the world can use to try to fight for change, to try to confront those in power,” he added.

Greenwald was the first journalist who broke the revelations about US spying programs based on documents leaked by former NSA contractor Edward Snowden.

“The really important thing to realize is the desire for surveillance is not a uniquely American attribute,” Greenwald was quoted as saying by the Associated Press....

Benghazi, Weapon Sales, and the Blatant Arming of al-Qaeda

A former CIA gun runner revealed that the U.S. Ambassador to Libya, J. Christopher Stevens, was killed in the Sept. 11, 2012 attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi in order to cover up the U.S. State Department’s direct arm shipments to al-Qaeda.

Hayden’s Note:

I’m glad that this information is finally starting to become mainstream knowledge. I’ve been talking about this very topic for a few years, especially as it relates to Libya and the arming of our “sworn enemies” in the sacking of Tripoli. I repeatedly wrote articles discussing the tens of thousands of surface-to-air missiles that went “missing”, and are now in Syria.

The Benghazi “attack” was a complete cover used to silence powerful critics of the arms deals.

What to Expect During the Next Stage of Collapse

SHTF Plan.com Editor-in-Chief Mac Slavo’s Note:

In the following analysis, Brandon Smith, of Alt Market, offers up one of the most insightful articles you’re likely to ever read on the potential sequence of events that may occur over the next several years. It lays out, step by step, how the global elite are positioning the chess pieces, the consequences for each and every one of us, and what we can do right now to insulate ourselves from the inevitability of the manufactured global collapse that will take place as we move forward. This is must-share information. Urge those closest to you to get a grasp of what’s happening and to prepare for it as best they can.

For years now, at Alt-Market (and Neithercorp.us), I have carefully outlined the most likely path of collapse to take place within the U.S., and a vital part of that analysis included economic destabilization caused by a loss of the dollar’s world reserve status and petro-status.  I have also always made clear that this fiscal crisis event would not occur in the midst of a political vacuum. ...

I’ve been saying this since September, 2005, when I was a New Orleans Police Officer. I saw the incrementalism then and spoke out against it, and I now see it moving full steam ahead eight years later.

In several phone conversations with readers, friends, and like-minded thinkers, I explained, in detail, how the Federal Government was using New Orleans as a “test bed” for militarization of domestic law enforcement. After Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans, I pointed out that the Feds were coaxing local, county, and state governments into getting in lock-step. They offered millions of dollars for departments to purchase new uniforms – but only in midnight navy blue – as well as offering fleets of new vehicles, as long as they followed Fed guidelines for certain markings and lights, as well as massive caches of new weapons and Homeland Security-approved radios. Sure, it’s great for interoperability… but with that carrot on the stick comes a price. It comes attached with a new attitude, a new perspective, and a new master....

The Surveillance State: How the War on Drugs and the War on Terror Go Hand in Hand

Posted on Jun 26, 2013 in Alphabet Agencies & Operations, Constitutional & Liberty Issues, Police, Military, & War, Political Issues

The philosophical underpinnings of America have traditionally been based on constraining the federal government through the interpretation of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Americans though, have willingly given up their rights based on security concerns, fear and perception of crime.

These fears have largely been driven by politicians, the media and “the crime du jour” which sensationalizes horrific events with the promise that one more law will fix our communities, or save America from terrorists. These public safety security concerns started with the Drug War and have expanded in a further deterioration of our civil liberties in the post 9/11 decade.

The War on Terror is now firmly entrenched in American life. This permanent emergency has been supported in large part because of policy interests that create fear and juxtapose that fear to patriotism. This creates a paradigm unprecedented in our society as Americans have accepted limiting their rights based not on facts, or critical analysis of a policy and what it is designed to do, but on sound bites and rhetoric....

NSA PRISM Whistleblower Edward Snowden: Truth is Treason

Posted on Jun 10, 2013 in Alphabet Agencies & Operations, Constitutional & Liberty Issues, Police, Military, & War, Science & Technology, Social Networking

Kevin Hayden – TruthisTreason.net

Ed Snowden, a 29-year old, former CIA analyst and defense contractor talks about the intelligence community, NSA capabilities, and why he blew the whistle on the government’s secretive activities.

Snowden left a $200,000 a year job, stationed in Hawaii, in order to provide this information. He now potentially faces treason charges if he is not protected under whistleblower exceptions, and mentions the possibility of being “rendered” by the CIA as he camps out in Hong Kong awaiting the government’s next move.

“They quite literally can watch your ideas form as you type,” an unnamed intelligence officer told Barton Gellman and Laura Poitras of the Washington Post.

“They” are the National Security Agency, and the Post report reveals that an N.S.A. program called Prism has, for the past six years, been “tapping directly into the central servers of nine leading U.S. Internet companies, extracting audio, video, photographs, e-mails, documents and connection logs that enable analysts to track a person’s movements and contacts over time.”

NSA PRISM Power Point Slides

These were not occasional, extraordinary incursions: the Post, in addition to talking to the intelligence officer—who decided to speak out of a concern for civil liberties that seems to have been distinctly lacking at higher levels—obtained PowerPoint slides from an internal N.S.A. briefing and other documents. The Guardian also got the briefing materials. One of the slides explains that “NSA reporting increasingly relies on PRISM” for close to one in seven of its intelligence reports, and the program, which began in 2007, is said to be growing rapidly.

Hayden’s Note: McCain Visits Syria, Meets with Terrorists, err… “Rebel Leaders”

Posted on May 29, 2013 in Global & National News, Police, Military, & War, Political Issues

The leaders of the Supreme Military Council of the Free Syrian Army told the senator they want the U.S. to provide arms, a no-fly zone, and strikes on Hezbollah.

Sen. John McCain Monday became the highest-ranking U.S. official to enter Syria since the bloody civil war there began more than two years ago, The Daily Beast has learned.

Hayden’s Note:

The “Syrian rebels”, as I’ve stated for a very long time, are mostly made up of guerrilla fighters, insurgents, and freelance mercenaries willing to fight for whomever pays. We saw this exact same operation in Libya, and again, the “rebels” received American support, including money, arms, logistics, communications, and air support. Many of those “rebels” were openly-admitted al-Qaeda members, some who had notoriously killed American soldiers only a year prior.

I understand that some of you are fiercely patriotic, but start questioning things like this. It is a direct violation of the National Defense Authorization Act to arm or support al-Qaeda members, as well as meeting the very definition of treason – “…to give aid or support to the enemy.”

Do you see the blatant lies here?

Two members of the FBI’s elite counterterrorism and hostage rescue team died Friday while practicing how to quickly drop from a helicopter to a ship using a rope (fast roping), the FBI announced Monday in a statement. The statement gave few details regarding the deaths of Special Agents Christopher Lorek and Stephen Shaw, other than to indicate the helicopter encountered unspecified difficulties and the agents fell a “significant distance.”

Last month, the team was involved in the arrest of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, a suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings.

In closely related news, via Wired:

An FBI agent shot and killed an Orlando man and former mixed-martial arts fighter believed to be tied to Tamerlan Tsarnaev, the deceased Boston Marathon bombing suspect. Ibragim Todashev allegedly confessed to being involved in the murder of three people just before he was shot to death today by the FBI, sources told NBC News.

During a post-midnight interview with Ibragim Todashev at his apartment, an FBI agent shot Todashev. An interview with Todashev about his connections to Tsarnaev began peacefully, with Todashev reportedly cooperating, before taking a fatal turn for unclear reasons....

Former LAPD Officer Brings Unconventional Warfare to the Thin Blue Line; UPDATE

In yet another story detailing how police officers are leaning towards the trend of shooting first and asking questions later, two women were shot by LAPD officers searching for murder suspect and former police officer Christopher Dorner.  Dorner is accused of murdering the daughter and future son-in-law of former LAPD Captain Randy Quan, who defended Dorner at the disciplinary hearing in which he was expelled from the police force.

Dorner left a lengthy manifesto on his Facebook page detailing his plans to terminate those responsible for his firing. In it, he alleges that he was fired by the corrupt Los Angelos Police Department who were seeking to silence his whistleblowing attempts.

The former cop and Navy Reservist made it quite clear that he was gunning for members of the police department when he wrote, “I will bring unconventional and asymmetrical warfare to those in LAPD uniform whether on or off duty.”

Law enforcement engaged in a shootout with Dorner shortly after the killing of Captain Quan’s daughter, which ended with Dorner wounding one officer and forcing another to retreat after riddling their patrol car with bullets....

Winning: City in Virginia Becomes First to Pass Anti-Drone Legislation

Charlottesville, Va., has become the first city in the United States to formally pass an anti-drone resolution.

The resolution passed by a 3-2 vote and was brought to the city council by activist David Swanson and the Rutherford Institute, a civil liberties group based in the city. The measure also endorses a proposed two-year moratorium on drones in Virginia.

Councilmember Dede Smith, who voted in favor of the bill, says that drones are “pretty clearly a threat to our constitutional right to privacy.”

“If we don’t get out ahead of it to establish some guidelines for how drones are used, they will be used in a very invasive way and we’ll be left to try and pick up the pieces,” she says.

“With a lot of these resolutions, although they don’t have a lot of teeth to them, they can inspire other governments to pass similar measures,” she says. “You can get a critical mass and then it does have influence. One doesn’t do much, but a thousand of them might. We want this on [federal and state lawmakers’] radars.”

[Video] Police Shoot Man 3 Times Immediately Upon Entering House: Hayden’s Note & the Failed War on Drugs

A joint drug task force from Weber and Morgan county, Utah, executed a search warrant on Todd Blair’s house on September 16th, 2010, resulting in the shooting death of Blair only two seconds after entry was made.

The “Weber-Morgan Strike Force” initiated an investigation into Blair’s residence with a focus on his roommate, Melanie Chournos. Police stated in their application for warrant that Ms. Chournos would likely destroy evidence upon their arrival, and requested a night time, “no-knock warrant” for the squirrely female.  However, prior to the raid, law enforcement became aware of the fact Blair’s roommate had moved out of the house.  With warrant already in hand, or rather, still back at the police station, the Strike Force decided to conduct the night time raid anyway.

Friends and family of Mr. Blair plainly admit to his drug usage, but said he was a drug addict and not a drug dealer.

After the SWAT team hit the door three times in an attempt to open it, and as the video clearly shows, Mr. Blair appears in a far hallway, shirtless, and with a golf club in his hands....

Gunfighters, Gear, and Instagram: the IG Militia

Instagram is a form of social media that focuses on sharing pictures between users, allowing them to tag photos with names of other users and apply “hashtags” that function as searchable keywords or descriptions for others. It is no longer just a place to post pictures of your food!

One such hashtag that has a rather large following is #igMilitia. It stands for the InstaGram Militia, and started as a way for various photos of guns, gear, and generally tacti-cool stuff to be lumped together and easily found.

Since I’m always looking for new gear when it comes to firearms, outdoor activities, and training, I thought I would share a list of some of the small businesses and personalities that really seem to have an impact on the shooting community and “igMilitia”, whether it be tactical, law enforcement, military, or purely civilian and self defense.

Many of these you’ve likely never heard of, but I believe in supporting original entrepreneurs and small start-ups, so if you know of any others that should be added to this list, please feel free to leave a comment!...
