Many farmers in Colorado will be expanding their list of planted crops this Spring after groundbreaking legislation was passed last November that allowed not only for the legalization of marijuana, but hemp as well. Now in case you’re not familiar, hemp is actually a multi-purpose substance that does not produce the high effects of marijuana. In fact, it’s mainly used as a super cheap and highly efficient building material — at least in other nations where ridiculous bans are not enforced on the ‘high-free’ material.

Industrial-HempColorado farmers like Michael Bowman will be planting 100 acres of hemp to be harvested and sold off as not only building material, but a highly nutritious superfood. While marijuana is considerably high in the substance known as THC (delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol), which of course is the compound that produces the ‘high’ effects, it’s also significantly low in what’s known as CDB (cannabidiol). That’s where hemp comes in. [It is high in CBD while being relatively THC-free, if not sterile.]

Hemp as a Superfood, Industry Transformer

These cannabinoids have actually been promoted by many first hand sources as not only a health optimizing substance, but a serious solution to cancer....

Sheriff Says 911 Isn’t Best Option; Safety No Longer a Spectator Sport, “I Need You in the Game”

Posted on Jan 29, 2013 in Constitutional & Liberty Issues, Emergency Preparedness & Survival, Police, Military, & War

Milwaukee area Sheriff David Clarke released a public service announcement urging citizens to seek firearm training and fight back against the criminal elements that seek to do them harm.

In the PSA, Sheriff Clarke cites recent police cutbacks and layoffs, along with mentioning prolonged police arrival times and that calling 911 might not be in your best interest initially.  Sheriff Clarke encourages his constituents to “be prepared”, and candidly states that their safety is no longer a spectator sport; he needs them in the game alongside his deputies.

“…your safety — it’s no longer a spectator sport; I need you in the game.”

He goes on to offer three choices for would-be victims: beg for mercy from violent criminals, hide under the bed, or fight back!

“It’s your duty to protect yourself and your family,” he says. “We’re partners now. Can I count on you?”

Sheriff Clarke has been receiving an onslaught of complaints and calls for his resignation from various groups, along with the President of the Deputy Sheriff’s Association, Roy Felber, suggesting the public service announcement is more closely aligned to a call for vigilantism....

Hayden’s Note: Military Helicopters Terrorize Houston, “Warzone” – The New Normal

The sight of Army helicopters and the sound of gunfire created a lot of concern Monday afternoon in one Houston neighborhood.

With military helicopters flying above her southeast Houston neighborhood, Frances Jerrals didn’t know what to think.

“…it sounds like we’re in a war zone. Guns, shooting, helicopters flying around the house,'” Isaac Robertson Jr. said.

The U.S. Army, along with other agencies, took over the old Carnegie Vanguard High School near Scott and Airport. There were armed men in fatigues, plenty of weapons and what many thought were real live rounds.

“I felt like I was in a warzone.” Jerrals said. “It was nonstop. I was terrified.”

“If it’s to protect our kids, I’m all for it,” neighbor Glenn DeWitt said.

Hayden’s Note:

THIS is the problem. Fear mongering, complacency, and a sheeple mentality: handing over all critical thinking skills and effort to the government will come with a heavy price. Mr. Glenn DeWitt believes that the US military is training to protect our school children.

Utility Workers and Police Trespass to Install Smart Meter, Arrest Home Owner [Video]

Naperville, IL, resident Malia “Kim” Bendis and her neighbor were arrested on eavesdropping and resisting an officer charges after video recording two police officers and utility workers installing a “smart meter” – which have been linked to health issues – on her neighbor’s house.  The home owner, identified only as Laura, is clearly seen on video refusing consent for the utility workers and police to be on her property, along with expressing concerns for her child’s health and safety, but is threatened with arrest if she interferes.

What happened to 4th Amendment requirements? What happened to private property laws?

Why are the police masquerading as enforcing City Hall requirements when in reality, they are protecting a private company?

Illinois citizens are still being arrested for recording police officers despite a 7th Circuit Court of Appeals ruling last year that blocked the enforcement of the law on the grounds that it was unconstitutional.

The law, which made it a felony to record them, even while acting in their official role as a public servant – in public, where no expectation of privacy is considered – is highly illogical, especially in this particular case.  ...

Former SEAL: Dear Mr. Security Agent

Posted on Jan 23, 2013 in Blog, Editorials, & Thoughts, Constitutional & Liberty Issues, Police, Military, & War

Kevin Hayden – TruthisTreason.net

Excerpt from Matt Bracken’s Open Letter to Law Enforcement with Hayden’s Note at the end;

The unintended consequences of this misguided utopian fool’s crusade to ban guns would include a second civil war as agonizingly painful as the first one, if not more so, since there would be no front lines and no safe areas for anybody, anywhere. Every sane American wants to prevent such a calamitous outcome as a “dirty civil war” on United States soil.

But know this: those tens of millions will never be quietly disarmed and then later forced at government gunpoint onto history’s next boxcars. If boxcars and detention camps are to be in America’s future, then you, Mr. Security Agent, will have to disarm them the hard way first. Not Piers Morgan, not Dianne Feinstein, not Chuck Schumer.

You.

And so, if you find yourself silently dismounting a covert SWAT vehicle at zero-dark-thirty, dressed in body armor, counting down to the explosion of battering rams and flash-bang grenades, on a raid against a sleeping household intended to result in the confiscation of firearms, ammunition, or magazines that were legal to own in 2012, millions of Americans who also swore an oath to defend the Constitution will consider you their domestic enemy, and they will resist you with force of arms....

DoD Spends More on Antidepressants, Viagra, and Opiates than on Tanks, Missiles, and Choppers

Last year, the Pentagon spent more on pills, injections and vaccines than it did on Black Hawk helicopters, Abrams tanks, Hercules C-130 cargo planes and Patriot missiles — combined.

Some of the prescription drugs that have fueled the military’s skyrocketing pharmaceutical budget are the same ones that have medicated the civilian world over the past decade. Since 2002, the Department of Defense has spent more than $5 billion on Lipitor, Plavix, Advair, Nexium and Singulair.

Rather than a reflection of the drugs needed to treat wounded troops, the top-selling prescriptions signal an increase in aging military retirees covered by the military’s health program, Tricare, with drugs for arthritis, osteoporosis and diabetes costing billions. The Department of Defense also spent more than $380 million on erectile dysfunction drugs and $238 million on testosterone therapy drugs over the decade.

But the military drug purchases also paint a picture of a fighting force increasingly reliant on antidepressants, psychotropic drugs and powerful narcotic painkillers that critics call dangerous and that have been involved in a growing number of prescription drug overdoses....

Homeland Security’s TSA VIPR Team at NFL Game with Surveillance Drone

Reports are popping up all over the internet regarding a Homeland Security/TSA VIPR Team at the December 30th, 2012 Vikings vs. Packers football game.  Furthermore, additional photos are claiming a surveillance drone was deployed at the Metrodome plaza on the west side.

What are VIPR Teams, you ask?  Unlike the warm, fuzzy blue-shirts at the airport, these guys want to grope you on the bus, search your vehicle at an interstate checkpoint while driving home, interrogate you while riding a train, and rummage through your luggage while utilizing “any form of transportation….any location within the United States”, per 6 USC § 1112.

While some might scoff at the idea of a surveillance drone hovering over a football event, or dismiss it as a sports photography drone, I urge you to consider the overall situation. Furthermore, drone aside; having a VIPR team at a random NFL event should send chills up your spine.

I was present, as a police officer, when the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America summit was held in New Orleans in 2008.  ...

Gun Frenzy: Photos Show How Quickly Stores Across the Nation are Selling Out

After nationwide calls to ban assault rifles and high-capacity magazines following the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School, Americans concerned about the government’s coming move to restrict the sale, the transfer, the importation and the possession of firearms deemed too dangerous to be in the hands of private citizens are cleaning out gun stores from coast to coast.

While some retailers have made the decision to suspend sales and stop selling certain firearms altogether, others are seeing sales skyrocket to never before seen levels. Parking lots are packed and hopeful shoppers are waiting hours for their chance to get their hands on weapons, parts and magazines that may soon be banned under Federal mandates.

The following photos taken over a three day period at a local gun store give us a glimpse of just how fast gun stores are clearing out their inventory. According to the shop owner who took these pictures, their store was selling upwards of one thousand guns per day.

Here’s how the store looked on the Sunday before the frenzy:

On Monday:

By Tuesday, shelves were almost clean:

Magazines, especially high capacity magazines, are selling at such a rapid pace that supply and demand has led some retailers to charge three times as much for a single magazine then they did just a week prior to the frenzy....

Hayden’s Note on the Connecticut Shootings, Dead Babies, and US Foreign Policy

Posted on Dec 14, 2012 in Blog, Editorials, & Thoughts, Constitutional & Liberty Issues, Global & National News, Police, Military, & War, Political Issues

Kevin Hayden – TruthisTreason.net

I was approached by a reader of the website last night who lamented on my lack of personal commentary lately.  He added that he had hoped to hear my opinions regarding the Presidential election and other current events, but that TruthisTreason.net had completely ignored politics recently.  I had to agree; I have intentionally avoided the typical political commentary because, quite frankly, I’m moved beyond that for the most part.  For years, I waved my signs, took part in street actions to raise awareness, wrote articles, and took part in the election cycle as a state delegate.

These days, I’ve simply let go of the stranglehold that politics has on so many Americans. It no longer concerns me because I feel as though we are too far gone to ever get back on track, and so aside from the occasional piece on national events, I doubt you’ll see “in-depth” coverage on the Left vs. Right Paradigm; the stage show known as American politics.

However,

In wake of today’s shooting events, I wanted to take a moment to share some opinions and perspectives on not only the direct topic, but the bigger picture, as well....

Israeli Airstrike on Home ‘Was a Clear Violation of the Laws of War’

An Israeli airstrike that killed 12 civilians – the largest number of civilians killed in a single attack during the Gaza fighting in November – was a clear violation of the laws of war.

On November 18, 2012, Israeli forces dropped what appears to have been a large aerial bomb on the three-story home of the Dalu family in Gaza City, killing 10 members of the household – one man, five women, and four children. A young man and an elderly woman of the Muzannar family next door were also killed.

At first the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said they were attacking a Hamas fighter named Yahia Abayah. Eight days later the IDF said the target had been the man killed in the house, Mohamed Jamal al-Dalu, whom they called a “terror operative” for Hamas without providing supporting information. Even if al-Dalu, a low-ranking police officer, was a legitimate military target under the laws of war, the likelihood that the attack on a civilian home would have killed large numbers of civilians made it unlawfully disproportionate, Human Rights Watch said....

As I have been immersed in writing ‘Patriot Dawn’, it occurred to me that I have not posted recently, so I pulled this excerpt out of Rapid Fire!: Tactics for High Threat, Protection and Combat Operations.  I was writing about an urban defense/battle scenario as part of the storyline, and this came to mind.

This is merely a way of pulling off a dismounted, anti-armor ambush. The described technique assumes that you have some form of anti-armor weapons system, such as a rocket.

Urban Anti-Armor Ambush

The aim of the anti-armor ambush is to destroy some or at minimum one advancing enemy armored vehicle and escape, not take on the whole enemy column, thus slowing them down and causing harassment and attrition.
The urban anti-armor (anti-tank) ambush is a specialist technique designed for an urban environment. Such an environment has, by design, streets, buildings, side streets and alleyways. These side streets or alleyways create natural defilade. They also create multiple decision points for the approaching enemy armor. The elements of an urban anti-armor ambush are the early warning, kill team, and cover group....

Pearl Harbor: a Noble Lie

Posted on Dec 07, 2012 in Alphabet Agencies & Operations, Police, Military, & War, Political Issues

Soon after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, rumors began to circulate challenging the official narrative that it was an unprovoked surprise attack. The cumulative evidence gathered over the last seventy years by scholars, journalists, and investigators vindicates those suspicious of treachery from the top; for it comprises a solid circumstantial case that Franklin D. Roosevelt and his top advisors deliberately provoked the attack and intentionally looked the other way before it came.

What was the reason for their treachery?

Roosevelt wanted to plunge the United States into the European war on the side of Great Britain but was unsuccessful in provoking Germany in the North Atlantic. So he decided that provoking a Japanese attack upon U.S. military bases in the Pacific would be the best way to achieve that objective. Since Japan was allied with Germany under the Tripartite Pact, Roosevelt calculated a war with Japan would sooner or later bring the United States into the war against Germany.

Most historians, when pressed on the matter, now grudgingly concede that Roosevelt lied when he told the American people that he would never send their boys to fight into foreign wars, but they excuse his treachery as a “noble lie,” a deception perpetrated against the public by the political elite to achieve a supposed greater good....

10th Amendment: Michigan House Passes HB 5768 Blocking NDAA Detention

A bill condemning detention provisions written into the National Defense Authorization Act and blocking any state cooperation with federal agents attempting to detain people in Michigan without due process unanimously passed the Michigan House Wednesday.

HB 5768 declares, “no agency of this state, no political subdivision of this state, no employee of an agency of this state or a political subdivision of this state acting in his or her official capacity, and no member of the Michigan national guard on official state duty shall aid an agency of the armed forces of the United States in any investigation, prosecution, or detention of any person pursuant to section 1021 of the national defense authorization act…”

It passed 107-0.

Bill sponsor Rep. Tom McMillin was jubilant after the vote.

“My bill opposing NDAA’s indefinite detention, and taking away due process, and prohibiting the Michigan government from participating passed the House today. On to the State Senate,” he said.

A large coalition of grassroots activists spanning the political spectrum, including the Tenth Amendment Center, supported the bill and lobbied for its passage....

US Army Demonstrates Black Hawk with Autonomous Flight and Landing Capabilities

A specially equipped Black Hawk was recently used to demonstrate the helicopter’s ability to operate on its own.

Hayden’s Note:

Well, I suppose this isn’t the best time for me to decide to become a helicopter pilot. :-/

In the first test of its type, the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Research’s Development and Engineering Center, based at Redstone Arsenal, flew the Black Hawk over Diablo Mountain Range in San Jose, Calif. Pilots were aboard the aircraft for the tests, but all flight maneuvers were conducted autonomously: obstacle field navigation, safe landing area determination, terrain sensing, statistical processing, risk assessment, threat avoidance, trajectory generation and autonomous flight control were performed in real time.

“This was the first time terrain-aware autonomy has been achieved on a Black Hawk,” said Lt. Col. Carl Ott, chief of the Flight Projects Office at AMRDEC’s Aeroflightdynamics Directorate and one of the tests pilots....
