Ron Paul supporters came up short in securing all of Oklahoma’s national delegates during a raucous state convention — hindered by fights over rules and a physical altercation between opposing delegates.

Backers of Paul booed Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin and former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, a onetime 2012 GOP presidential contender, when both encouraged the approximately 1,400 delegates to support the presumed Republican Party presidential nominee, Mitt Romney.

Paul supporters, who numbered about 600 and made up about 40% of the convention, used various parliamentary procedures to contest rules.

They complained the state party violated its own rules by failing to have a roll-call vote on the slate of national delegates and voted against adjourning the convention.

MEDIA SHOWS NO SIGNS OF UNDERSTANDING THE RON PAUL STRATEGY, SO LET ME EXPLAIN IT

Over the last couple of weeks, the Ron Paul campaign has picked up a majority of delegates in Iowa, Colorado, Maine, and Nevada.  He’s on pace to also pick up the majority of delegates in at least four additional states…and those are just the sure things.  This is all part of a process that actually started over 4 years ago when Paul ran for President and his deputy campaign manager, Debbie Hopper, did yeoman’s work with the grassroots to recognize the intensity and develop this strategy.

The media is now belatedly noticing that this has been happening.  It has already succeeded in taking control of slews of local and county GOP organizations, putting at least seven Paul backers on the Republican National Committee, and completely taking over the party in multiple states…and counting.

The question that much of the legacy media is now starting to ask is “Why?”  As with so much reporting, they then go on to attempt to answer their own question and fail....

In a shocking development in the Operation Fast and Furious investigation, documents show Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agents allowed grenade parts to walk into Mexico in addition to guns.

The emails also show Obama administration officials acknowledging that they may lose track of grenades but would still be able to accomplish their original objective even if the grenades explode.

“Even in a post blast, as long as the safety lever is recovered we will be able to identify these tagged grenades,” an official wrote in one email.

According to an internal email that was provided to Congress by the Department of Justice and first reported by CBS News’ Sharyl Attkisson — who’s been the media’s most dogged reporter in tracking down facts on Fast and Furious – ATF began watching accused smuggler Jean Baptiste Kingery’s AK-47 purchases in 2004. In the 2009 internal ATF email, Obama administration officials admitted they believed Kingery was “trafficking them into Mexico.”

The 2009 email shows the ATF officials had then become aware of Kingery’s alleged grenade trafficking....

Over 300 economists, including three Nobel Laureates, recently signed a petition that encourages the president, Congress, governors and state legislatures to carefully consider marijuana legalization in America. The petition draws attention to an article by Harvard economist Jeffrey Miron, whose findings highlight the substantial cost-savings our government could incur if it were to tax and regulate marijuana, rather than needlessly spending billions of dollars enforcing its prohibition.

Miron predicts that legalizing marijuana would save $7.7 billion per year in government expenditure on enforcement, in addition to generating $2.4 billion annually if taxed like most consumer goods, or $6 billion per year if taxed similarly to alcohol and tobacco.

While I enjoyed this video, I was wholly saddened by the fact that it, too, has a strong agenda and seems to have large pocketbooks behind it.  I noticed they didn’t mention US foreign policy ONCE, nor did they mention the damage that the Federal Reserve has done.  All in all, it’s a short video and worth watching, but as I always say, “Question Everything.”

Everyone has an agenda, and it is often times hard to see past the dazzling camera effects, feigned sincerity, and keyword emphasis, but keep your mind sharp and you’ll see through it every time.

House Bill 1505 could be nearing a vote, and it offers a whole lot more than many bargained for.  HR 1505 seeks to implement one of the most extensive increases in Police State power that I’ve seen in a long time, not to mention furthering the UN’s Agenda 21.

The intent of this bill is to prohibit the Secretary of the Interior and the Secretary of Agriculture from taking action on public lands which impede the border activities of the Secretary of Homeland Security.  One might simply think it is Congress’ way of making sure that Border Patrol can operate freely and unimpeded while preventing terrorism and illegal immigration.

In reality, this bill serves to decimate the US Constitution, negate the 10th Amendment, and infringe upon local, county, and state jurisdiction by giving 100 miles of land adjacent to any international border directly to Homeland Security without any recourse or oversight.

Utah is now accepting gold and silver as legal tender for transactions and to settle debts according to a bill recently signed into law by Governor Gary R. Herbert. Several other states have proposed similar measures in the wake of the monetary policies of the Federal Reserve and the decreasing value of paper money.

Utah’s law is notable because it is the first such bill to pass. Over 150 years ago, Congress passed the Legal Tender Act, which authorized the use of paper notes to pay bills, and while paper money still retains the value noted, interest rates governing bonds and other savings or investment vehicles are at historic lows and are expected to remain at those lows through at least 2014.

Gold and silver bullion however, are at historically high values and observers expect those values to remain high for some time. House Bill 157 will allow for gold and silver bullion to be used for transactions based on the weight of the amount of metal presented. That is a key distinction because it expands out the use of gold and silver beyond face value on limited runs of precious metal coins offered through the US Treasury....

A new program in Houston will place undercover TSA agents and police officers on buses to perform bag searches, watch for “suspicious activity,” and interrogate passengers in order to ‘curb crime and terrorism’.

After Google played a central role in the campaign in rallying the public against the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA), the House Intelligence Committee chairman Rep. Mike Rogers (R – MI) claims that Google is secretly supporting the bill many are calling “SOPA 2.”

You can file this one under, “Duh!”  Google recently tried appealing to the common man and acting as though they were staunchly against CISPA.  I’ve learned to distrust any mega-corporation, especially one that has such bedroom-ties to the NSA, cyber-security, politics, and an endless checkbook… especially when they can profit handsomely from getting the bill passed.

“They’ve been helpful and supportive of trying to find the right language in the bill,” Rogers said of Google, who declined to comment one way or the other on the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (CISPA), the new bill.

The bill aims primarily at the sharing of private information, empowering the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to collect data from private companies on anything they decide is a “cyber threat.”

For years, the alternative media has warned about the US military being used against the American people in a time of economic collapse or any sort of martial law scenario.

Drills such as Vigilant Guard 2010 have brought widespread attention to the fact that portions of our own military are training to take on crowds of American citizens demanding food and Constitutional rights in a time of crisis.

Now, a new release by the website Public Intelligence, once again confirms that as recently as February and March of 2012, US troops at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington were conducting training scenarios for a civil disturbance domestic quick reaction force.

A series of photos of the drills shows US troops with crowd control riot shields on the opposite side of actors portraying what can only be described as American citizens.

Despite overwhelming public support and support from a clear majority of Vermont’s Agriculture Committee, Vermont legislators are dragging their feet on a proposed GMO labeling bill. Why? Because Monsanto has threatened to sue the state if the bill passes.

The popular legislative bill requiring mandatory labels on genetically engineered food (H-722) is languishing in the Vermont House Agriculture Committee, with only four weeks left until the legislature adjourns for the year. Despite thousands of emails and calls from constituents who overwhelmingly support mandatory labeling, despite the fact that a majority (6 to 5) of Agriculture Committee members support passage of the measure, Vermont legislators are holding up the labeling bill and refusing to take a vote.

What happened to the formerly staunch legislative champions of Vermont’s “right to know” bill? They lost their nerve and abandoned their principles after Monsanto representative recently threatened a public official that the biotech giant would sue Vermont if they dared to pass the bill....

Investing is a time-honored American tradition.  Millions of Americans have some sort of investment, and the stock market is an honored cultural institution. But investing your money in a publicly traded company isn’t the only way to make a buck.  Let’s say you’re a powerful industry that wants to make a lot of money with an enormous Return On Investment (ROI). One way you could do so is by investing in lobbyists.

We here at United Republic have put together some stats about the sort of ROI Big Money expects for its lobbying dollars in Washington.  As one example, an average American can expect a ROI of 11 percent for investing in one Blue Chip stock in the Dow Jones Industrial Average in 2010.  Meanwhile, Big Pharma has a ROI of 75,500 percent for the lobbying dollars it spends to bar the government from bargaining for cheaper drug prices through Medicare:

A federal judge on Thursday ordered U.S. regulators to start proceedings to withdraw approval for the use of common antibiotics in animal feed, citing concerns that overuse is endangering human health by creating antibiotic-resistant “superbugs”.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Theodore Katz ordered the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to begin proceedings unless makers of the drugs can produce evidence that their use is safe.

If they can’t, then the FDA must withdraw approval for non-therapeutic use of those drugs, the judge ruled.

This is yet another huge win for real food safety and health.  ”Therapeutic” animal use of drugs accounts for over 80% of the antibiotic use in America, and that directly translates to your dinner plate.  Forcing the drug makers to prove the effectiveness and need for their Big Pharma cocktails should be one of those, “Duh!” moments, but this debate has been ongoing since the 1970′s, as noted below:

Economic crises signal that the current system isn’t working as expected and needs improvement. When it comes to monetary systems, questioning their fundamentals can lead to doubts about whether the preferred medium of exchange will continue to be preferred for long. A month ago, a rumor that India is going to pay in gold for oil imported from sanction-struck Iran sent shockwaves through the markets. China is next with 13 percent, and Japan is third with about ten. All of them are having a hard time dealing with Iranian oil imports, as the country is under sanctions caused by Western fears regarding its nuclear program.

Ron Paul delegates were being excluded from the Oklahoma County GOP Convention, but by using the establishment’s own rules of order against them, they were able to fight back and gain a majority!

In attendance, and in support of the Ron Paul delegates, were Oklahoma State Representatives Charles Key and Ralph Shortey, along with many influential, local activists.

If you’ve ever been a Ron Paul delegate, you know that the GOP central committees will employ every trick in the book to avoid having to seat Ron Paul delegates. They will freely ignore their own bylaws, apply rules in such a manner as to only exclude Paul delegates, and will liberally employ intimidation tactics through verbal abuse, and even physical manhandling of delegates.

In an unbelievable act of high treason and overt criminality, the US State Department, headed by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, has finalized arrangements to move the US State Department-listed foreign terror organization, Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MEK), into the former US military base “Camp Liberty’ in Iraq.

Article III, Section 3 of the US Constitution defines treason as waging war against the interests of the United States or giving aid and comfort to her enemies.  First and foremost, I’m not sure which is closer to the definition of our enemy: The US State Department as a whole?  Or just their policies and support for violent, for-hire terrorist organizations acting out the directives of Western Intelligence…?  Are we not culpable for terrorism by proxy?

No less than six relatives of Presidential candidate Mitt Romney have joined the campaign trail in the race for the GOP nomination, but they’re not supporting the former Massachusetts governor, they’re campaigning for Texas Congressman Ron Paul.

Three of Romney’s relatives will even speak at Idaho caucus sites, declaring their support for Paul in a story that is sure to create a buzz around Paul’s campaign as he looks to pick up his first caucus win on Super Tuesday.

The Paul campaign issued a press release Monday introducing five Romney relatives, then issued another release shortly afterwards noting a sixth.

Texas Congressman and Presidential Candidate Ron Paul questioned Ben Bernanke, the Chairman of the Federal Reserve, on Capitol Hill yesterday.

Dr. Paul pulled out a silver eagle, explaining that it has retained its real worth and that hard assets should be used as currency as outlined in the Constitution.

Telling Bernanke that in 2006, when he took over at the Fed, an ounce of silver bought about 4 gallons of gas, where as today it will buy 11 gallons. “That’s preservation of value,” said Paul.

Paul called for a competing currency to the dollar, stating that the laws should be changed to allow precious metals to settle contract disputes and other legal obligations.

Bernanke addressed Paul by jokingly saying “good to see you again, Congressman”, before somewhat derisively saying he would be happy to consider the Congressman’s ideas and help him work out what currencies to hold.

Paul hit back by saying the government goes after those who attempt to use gold and silver as alternatives to depreciating Federal Reserve notes as if they are criminals, telling Bernanke “the record of what you’ve done is destroy the currency,”...

State representatives advanced legislation to launch a study into what Wyoming should do in the event of a complete economic or political collapse in the United States.

House Bill 85 passed on first reading by a voice vote. It would create a state-run government continuity task force, which would study and prepare Wyoming for potential catastrophes, from disruptions in food and energy supplies to a complete meltdown of the federal government.

The task force would look at the feasibility of Wyoming issuing its own alternative currency, if needed. And House members approved an amendment Friday by state Rep. Kermit Brown, R-Laramie, to have the task force also examine conditions under which Wyoming would need to implement its own military draft, raise a standing army, and acquire strike aircraft and an aircraft carrier.

The bill’s sponsor, state Rep. David Miller, R-Riverton, has said he doesn’t anticipate any major crises hitting America anytime soon. But with the national debt exceeding $15 trillion and protest movements growing around the country, Miller said Wyoming — which has a comparatively good economy and sound state finances — needs to make sure it’s protected should any unexpected emergency hit the U.S....

Despite requests made under the Freedom of Information Act for correspondence out of the White House, the Obama administration is simply refusing to comply with calls to disclose discussions with Monsanto-linked lobbyists.

The US-based non-profit group Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility (PEER) is demanding that the White House comply with a FOIA request for information that might link the Obama administration with lobbyists tied to the Monsanto corporation.

Three-hundred thousands organic farmers across America are currently trying to take Monsanto to court to keep the corporation from continuing its war on independent growers. As a case is composed, the PEER group suspects that the White House’s refusal to comply with the FOIA request could be because Monsanto has some powerful friends on Pennsylvania Avenue.

Particularly, PEER is trying to pry correspondence that came into the inbox of a White House policy analyst from a lobbyist with the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO), which represents Monsanto and other manufacturers of genetically-engineered seeds. The White House says that disclosing the full details of the email could give competing companies an advantage as lobbying secrets are unearthed for the world, but PEER thinks the truth is much worse than that....

Judge Andrew Napolitano fires a volley of questions, aimed squarely at the Mainstream Media, the Establishment, and those that lack the ability or desire to question their surroundings.  Fox News unceremoniously canceled his show and he has now been endorsed by Ron Paul as his Vice President.

Let’s be honest, quite a few Americans love a good war, especially those Americans who have never had to bear witness to one first hand.  War is the ultimate tribally vicarious experience.  Anyone, even pudgy armchair generals with deep-seated feelings of personal inadequacy, can revel in the victories and actions of armies a half a world away as if they themselves stood on the front lines risking possible annihilation at the hands of dastardly cartoon-land “evil doers”.  They may have never done a single worthwhile thing in their lives, but at least they can bask in the perceived glory of their country’s military might.

This attitude of swollen ego through proxy is not limited to the “Right” side of the political spectrum as some might expect.  In fact, if the terrifyingly demented presidency of Barack Obama has proven anything so far, it is that elements of the “Left” are just as bloodthirsty as any NeoCon, and just as ready to blindly support the political supremacy of their “side” regardless of any broken promises, abandoned principles, or openly flaunted hypocrisies....
