Hayden’s Note on potential motives at the bottom
Watch this video where the director of the Southern Poverty Law Center blames the shooting of Arizona Democratic Representative Gabrielle Giffords on “right wing political beliefs.” It should be noted that Jared’s close friends describe him as a “pot-smoking liberal…” and not a radical right-wing Tea Partying extremist.
Basically, they ignore the real reason that Jared Loughner became violent (i.e. mental illness), and blame it all on his political views. This is simply irresponsible. Would it be fair of me to say that supporting Obama causes people to become criminals? How about after I see the following mug shots?
Orwell spoke of thought police in his famous book 1984. Although we may not officially have thought police (yet) in America, the media is certainly pushing an agenda and teaching us how to think. Through this type of indoctrination, many people will start believing that “right wing” views are dangerous, and start treating people with those views differently — calling in “tips,” conducting surveillance, forcing them into counseling, and costing them their jobs. We won’t need “thought police,” because the mainstream media is teaching us to police each other’s thoughts. These types of stories, and irresponsible publications such as the MIAC report, can only lead to wild accusations against free-thinking people.
This type of rhetoric, whereby we blame the acts of madmen on views they may share with sane people, sends us down a dangerous path of the government and mass media telling us what we are allowed to believe — lest we be labeled “threats.”
The Associated Press, meanwhile, actually blamed the “political climate” for the shooting, saying, “The nation’s caustic political climate has become a suspect of sorts in the rampage that left six dead and a lawmaker critically injured in Arizona.” The implication from these kinds of stories is that if you criticize the government, you therefore promote violence.
Hayden’s Note:
It is important, as in all criminal investigations, to consider motives – and not just one. There is a chance that this shooting might have been the result of a perceived rejection of Jared Loughner by Rep. Giffords. Loughner worked for Giffords political campaign and both were subscribed to each other’s YouTube channel. It is important to note that Gifford had only subscribed to one other person’s channel. It is also important to discover when and by whom this subscription was made as many celebrities and politicians have staffers who operate their social media pages. When Giffords moved on and up in her political career, maybe Loughner felt rejected? It’s a stretch, but it’s a classic motive, as well.
Another interesting point -
The SPLC and mass media make Jared Loughner out to be some Tea Partying radical right-wing uber-conservative. Instead, the 22-year old’s friends described him as a pot-smoking liberal. Across his various social media pages, he lists books such the Communist Manifesto, Karl Marx, Ayn Rand and the Catcher in the Rye as some of his favorite reads, among several other socialist, liberal, political and communist literature. While Jared talked about things across the political spectrum, it never was violent or aggressive. He was not calling for the heads of Senators or for lynchings in the street. For him to confront Giffords and start shooting at so many random people makes this an incredibly hard-to-believe chain of events.
In fact, he made mention of mind control quite a bit… which leads me to a topic that might very well be important when talking about Jared Loughner. But I’ll let you connect those dots if you can find them out there. Obviously, we could never prove it, so why waste time writing about it, other than to mention it as a possible circumstance.
I would also like to point out how many times I’ve said in the last 8 months that the next major political/violent event would be an active shooter of some sort.
Here’s a bit of commentary from Kevin at Cryptogon.com –
Gabrielle Giffords’ Official YouTube Channel Is Subscribed to Jared Lee Loughner’s Alleged YouTube Channel
At first, I thought that it must not be her channel. I thought that someone must have made up a fake YouTube channel and done this.
Nope.
It’s her official YouTube channel. There’s a link to youtube.com/giffords2 on her House of Representatives page, giffords.house.gov.
So, out of a total of two subscriptions on Gabrielle Giffords’ YouTube channel, one of them is to Jared Lee Loughner’s alleged YouTube channel, the channel of the alleged shooter. The other one is to Congressman Ike Skelton’s YouTube channel.
Who subscribed Gifford’s channel to youtube.com/user/Classitup10? Even more interesting might be to know WHEN that happened.
