Homeland Security Report Lists ‘Liberty Lovers’ as Extreme Domestic Terrorists

A new study funded by the Department of Homeland Security characterizes Americans who are “suspicious of centralized federal authority,” and “reverent of individual liberty” as “extreme right-wing” terrorists.

Entitled Hot Spots of Terrorism and Other Crimes in the United States, 1970-2008 (PDF), the study was produced by the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism at the University of Maryland. The organization was launched with the aid of DHS funding to the tune of $12 million dollars.

The report takes its definitions from a 2011 study entitled Profiles of Perpetrators of Terrorism, produced by the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism, in which the following characteristics are used to identify terrorists.

– Americans who believe their “way of life” is under attack;

– Americans who are “fiercely nationalistic (as opposed to universal and international in orientation)”;

– People who consider themselves “anti-global” (presumably those who are wary of the loss of American sovereignty);

– Americans who are “suspicious of centralized federal authority”;

– Americans who are “reverent of individual liberty”;

– People who “believe in conspiracy theories that involve grave threat to national sovereignty and/or personal liberty.”

The report also lists people opposed to abortion and “groups that seek to smite the purported enemies of God and other evildoers” as terrorists....

Priest Defrocked over Sexual Abuse Now TSA Supervisor at Philadelphia International Airport

The CBS 3 I-Team has learned that a Catholic priest who was removed from the ministry over sex abuse allegations now holds a sensitive security post at Philadelphia International Airport.

Hayden’s Note:

Well, I was starting to be disappointed in the lack of absurd TSA activity over the last week or so.  I should have known, I need only wait a few days and we’d find more dirt on the wonderful Transportation Security Administration.

The security checkpoint between Terminals D and E is a busy place where thousands of people – including lots of kids – pass through every day. But you might not believe who the I-Team observed working as a TSA supervisor at that checkpoint this week: Thomas Harkins.

Until 2002, Harkins was a Catholic priest working at churches across South Jersey. But the Diocese of Camden removed him from ministry because it found he sexually abused two young girls. Now, in a new lawsuit, a third woman is claiming she also is one of Harkins’ victims.

The I-Team asked Harkins about the suit as he was leaving his shift at the airport.

FBI Prevents Another of Their Own Terror Plots – Shaquille Azir and the Occupiers

Posted on May 03, 2012 in Alphabet Agencies & Operations, Blog, Editorials, & Thoughts, Police, Military, & War

Kevin Hayden –

Source: TechDirt – Editorial by Kevin Hayden

We’ve discussed this a few times in the past, but the FBI’s main counter-terrorism initiative these days appears to be centered around creating its own terrorist plots to thwart. First, they find clueless, easily manipulated people, who have no actual connections with terrorists. Then, they concoct entire terrorism plots, where every other person is an FBI agent, and any tools, “weapons” and money are supplied by the FBI. Finally, they “bust” the guy just before he carries out the plot that never would have happened anyway. We see this pattern again and again — and each time the press uncritically hypes up how the FBI successfully stopped a real “homegrown” terrorist.

Of course, it’s happened once again, and the basic plotlines are identical to ones in the past. And, of course, the press is describing it like it was an actual terrorist plot, pretending that people was actually at risk.

Hayden’s Note:

In the FBI’s latest screenplay, they would have you believe that a 6’5, 350 lb. black man named Shaquille Azir approached a group of five motley Occupy protesters – who are self-described anarchists – and talk them into bombing a bridge with C-4 explosives.

ATF, Obama, Fast and Furious: Don’t Care if Grenades Explode and Kill

In a shocking development in the Operation Fast and Furious investigation, documents show Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agents allowed grenade parts to walk into Mexico in addition to guns.

The emails also show Obama administration officials acknowledging that they may lose track of grenades but would still be able to accomplish their original objective even if the grenades explode.

“Even in a post blast, as long as the safety lever is recovered we will be able to identify these tagged grenades,” an official wrote in one email.

According to an internal email that was provided to Congress by the Department of Justice and first reported by CBS News’ Sharyl Attkisson — who’s been the media’s most dogged reporter in tracking down facts on Fast and Furious – ATF began watching accused smuggler Jean Baptiste Kingery’s AK-47 purchases in 2004. In the 2009 internal ATF email, Obama administration officials admitted they believed Kingery was “trafficking them into Mexico.”

The 2009 email shows the ATF officials had then become aware of Kingery’s alleged grenade trafficking....

HR 1505: Drones, Agenda 21 Land Grab, and Forward Operating Bases

House Bill 1505 could be nearing a vote, and it offers a whole lot more than many bargained for.  HR 1505 seeks to implement one of the most extensive increases in Police State power that I’ve seen in a long time, not to mention furthering the UN’s Agenda 21.

The intent of this bill is to prohibit the Secretary of the Interior and the Secretary of Agriculture from taking action on public lands which impede the border activities of the Secretary of Homeland Security.  One might simply think it is Congress’ way of making sure that Border Patrol can operate freely and unimpeded while preventing terrorism and illegal immigration.

In reality, this bill serves to decimate the US Constitution, negate the 10th Amendment, and infringe upon local, county, and state jurisdiction by giving 100 miles of land adjacent to any international border directly to Homeland Security without any recourse or oversight.

Section 2, (b) (1)

Authorized Activities of U.S. Customs and Border Protection-

(A) Construction and maintenance of roads.

(B) Construction and maintenance of fences.

(C) Use vehicles to patrol....

NSA Whistleblower William Binney on the Expanding Police State

Posted on Apr 21, 2012 in Alphabet Agencies & Operations, Police, Military, & War, Social Networking

Kevin Hayden –

Source: Democracy Now, via Cryptogon

In his first television interview since he resigned from the National Security Agency over its domestic surveillance program, William Binney discusses the NSA’s massive power to spy on Americans and why the FBI raided his home after he became a whistleblower. Binney was a key source for investigative journalist James Bamford’s recent exposé in Wired Magazine about how the NSA is quietly building the largest spy center in the country in Bluffdale, Utah. The Utah spy center will contain near-bottomless databases to store all forms of communication collected by the agency, including private emails, cell phone calls, Google searches and other personal data.

Binney served in the NSA for over 30 years, including a time as technical director of the NSA’s World Geopolitical and Military Analysis Reporting Group. Since retiring from the NSA in 2001, he has warned that the NSA’s data-mining program has become so vast that it could “create an Orwellian state.” Today marks the first time Binney has spoken on national television about NSA surveillance.

CIA Agent Who Publicly Opposed Waterboarding Indicted for Leaking Classified Secrets

Former CIA officer John Kiriakou was charged in a five-count indictment Thursday for allegedly disclosing classified information to journalists and lying to the CIA about information he included in his book “The Reluctant Spy: My Secret Life in the CIA’s War on Terror.”

The indictment charges Kiriakou, a one-time ABC News consultant, with one count of disclosing the identity of a covert CIA officer, three counts of disclosing sensitive national defense information, and one count of making false statements to the CIA’s Publications Review Board in an effort to trick the board into allowing him to publish classified information in his book. The information was related to individuals allegedly involved in controversial CIA interrogation techniques that some have termed torture.

Hayden’s Note:

“Some have termed torture.” Umm, I’m pretty sure the act of nearly drowning someone repeatedly, making them believe they are going to die, is in fact, torture. There is no guessing or giving it a “term.”  It’s torture and it’s an extremely poor form of interrogation.

This is what happens to whistleblowers and those who speak their mind.

8 Former Israeli Military Arrested on Suspicion of Drug Trafficking, Money Laundering, Exploitation of Minors

Eight Israelis were arrested in Colombia on suspicion of drug trafficking, money laundering and exploitation of minors, the country’s chief prosecutor told local media outlets on Tuesday.

The suspects, who were described in the reports as “former military men,” reside in the city of Taganga. According to one of the reports, they are suspected of sexually exploiting teenage girls.

As part of a separate investigation, the suspects are also being questioned about their ties to a local drug trafficking ring.

The chief prosecutor noted that the Israeli men were under surveillance during the past year, after arousing the suspicion of local police officers and community leaders.

One of the reports claimed that police obtained tape recordings, some in Hebrew, which might incriminate the suspects.

The suspects denied the allegations, claiming that they were legitimate businessmen.

In January 2011, Colombia asked Israel to extradite former Israeli army Lt. Col. Yair Klein, who was convicted by a Colombian court and sentenced in absentia to nearly 11 years in prison for training drug-traffickers’ assassins in the late 1980s....

Boston Dynamics Killer Robot #3,719? Sand Flea Robot Jumps 30 Feet, Attacks from the Rooftops!

Posted on Mar 29, 2012 in Alphabet Agencies & Operations, Police, Military, & War, Science & Technology

Kevin Hayden –

I’m tellin’ ya, I feel like I post a new video or article about Boston Dynamics each week. This week’s creepy, Skynet-esque killer robot is the Sand Flea. Designed and built from DARPA funding, Boston Dynamics has created a small, wheeled robot that can “jump” onto your rooftop or clear large obstacles.

From a police and military perspective, this will enable advanced surveillance, deployment of gas or pyrotechnic devices in hard to reach spots, and change the landscape of hostile interventions. And you can certainly bet that Homeland Security will encourage local police departments to start using them. Is this a win for “peace officers and soldiers?” Or is it simply the next step in our ever-growing totalitarian police state, courtesy of your tax dollars…?

FBI Excuses for Missing Oklahoma City Bombing Tapes Not Credible, Judge Says

Posted on Mar 27, 2012 in Alphabet Agencies & Operations, Constitutional & Liberty Issues

Kevin Hayden –

Source: Deseret News

A federal judge on Wednesday continued to question the FBI’s explanation for not producing videotapes associated with the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing that a Salt Lake lawyer has sought for nearly six years.

“It’s quite astounding that documents as important as these went missing and the FBI says, ‘Well, they’re gone,'” U.S. District Judge Clark Waddoups said during a motion hearing.

At issue is whether the FBI adequately responded to Jesse Trentadue’s Freedom of Information Act request for footage of Timothy McVeigh parking a truckload of explosives at the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building on April 19, 1995. Specifically, the Salt Lake attorney is after a building surveillance tape and dashcam video from the Oklahoma state trooper who stopped McVeigh 90 minutes after the explosion that killed 168 people.

The FBI has submitted several declarations from its top records manager to show the agency has searched electronic databases and evidence warehouses without success. But Waddoups said the declarations lack credibility because they do not include firsthand knowledge or details about who, when, where or how the searches were conducted....

NSA’s Spy Program ‘Stellar Wind’ Exposed: “Turnkey Totalitarian State” Thumbnail

NSA’s Spy Program ‘Stellar Wind’ Exposed: “Turnkey Totalitarian State”

Posted on Mar 26, 2012 in Alphabet Agencies & Operations, Constitutional & Liberty Issues, Science & Technology

Kevin Hayden –

Source: Lew RockwellBob Adelmann, The New American

The lead story in Wired magazine for April exposed the Stellar Wind program for its intended purpose: to spy on every jot and tittle of every American citizen’s life all the way down to his “pocket litter:” parking-lot stubs, receipts from McDonalds, tickets from his haircut at Cost Cutters, as well as all the way up to the content of his every e-mail, every Google search, every telephone or cellphone conversation.

Stellar Wind is the code name for an effort approved by President George W. Bush following the September 11, 2001 attacks to mine a large database of communications of American citizens but which was allegedly terminated when Congress pushed back against it.

However, the National Security Agency, awash with funds provided by Congress, is nearly finished constructing its Utah Data Center as the collection point for data provided from around the country and around the world. Its purpose: “to intercept, decipher, analyze and store vast swaths of the world’s communications … [including] all forms of communication, including the complete contents of private emails, cell phone calls and Google searches.” In other words, according to James Bamford, author of The Shadow Factory: The Ultra-Secret NSA from 9/11 to the Eavesdropping on America, when the $2 billion facility (consisting of four 25,000 square-foot buildings full of computer servers and their air conditioning units plus a 900,000 square-foot building to house its technical and administration people) is completed in September, 2013,

…virtually everything one communicates through any traceable medium, or any record of one’s existence in the electronic medium, which these days is everything, will … become the property of the US government to deal with as its sees fit.

Definition of Treason: US State Dept Gives MEK Terror-Cult US Base in Iraq

In an unbelievable act of high treason and overt criminality, the US State Department, headed by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, has finalized arrangements to move the US State Department-listed foreign terror organization, Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MEK), into the former US military base “Camp Liberty’ in Iraq.

Hayden’s Note:

Article III, Section 3 of the US Constitution defines treason as waging war against the interests of the United States or giving aid and comfort to her enemies.  First and foremost, I’m not sure which is closer to the definition of our enemy: The US State Department as a whole?  Or just their policies and support for violent, for-hire terrorist organizations acting out the directives of Western Intelligence…?  Are we not culpable for terrorism by proxy?

And we’re giving them Camp Liberty?  What a slap in the face.

Effectively turning the camp into a living monument of desecration to the memories of 6,000+LinkUS troops killed over the last 10 years of the fraudulent “War on Terror,” the US State Department is also appropriating US taxpayers’ money to make upgrades to the camp to accommodate the terrorist organization....

More FBI Terrorism: LulzSec Leader Works for the Bureau

Posted on Mar 06, 2012 in Alphabet Agencies & Operations

Kevin Hayden –

The establishment media has characterized the leader of LulzSec ratting out his hacktivist comrades as betrayal, but the incident reveals something far more sinister – government is responsible for creating and unleashing computer hacker groups.

Hector Xavier Monsegur, said to be the leader of LulzSec, worked for the FBI, according to news reports. He was reportedly arrested in Puerto Rico last June and then began working with the FBI.  Monsequr, aka Sabu, decided what targets to attack and who would participate in the attacks at the direction of this FBI handlers.  – Source: Kurt Nimmo

Hayden’s Note:

Yet again, the mainstream media and government confirm what I’ve said for a long time: large parts of ‘Anonymous’ and similar groups are operated, directed, or wholly infiltrated by government informants and agents.  The fear-mongering surrounding Anon and the danger they pose, along with the legislation being written behind closed doors, such as SOPA, Protect IP, and similar, are a direct, pre-determined “solution” to a “problem” the government has created or bolstered in order to fulfill their agenda.

This is very similar to what happened in Libya, what’s going on in Syria, and even 9/11.  ...

These are the Routes for All US Military Nuclear Weapons Trucks

Posted on Feb 17, 2012 in Alphabet Agencies & Operations

Kevin Hayden –

Source: Gizmodo

You are looking at the map of the routes followed by the nuclear trucks, plain-looking high-tech trailers that go through America’s busiest highways carrying nuclear bombs, material for atomic weapons, radioactive metals and nuclear fuel for the US Navy.

All this nuclear material gets transported “from a variety of labs, reactors and military bases, to the nation’s Pantex bomb-assembly plant in Amarillo, Texas, to the Savannah River facility” by trucks that look like any other truck.

Called Armored Tractors (ATs), these supertrucks are heavily shielded, continuously tracked 18-wheelers loaded with security measures. Nothing differentiates them from any commercial trucks except a few antennas and their special architecture. That and a “US GOVERNMENT” license plate. And the fact that they come loaded with stuff that can destroy a few cities, for course.

These Are the Routes for All US Military Nuclear Weapons Trucks
But don’t worry (Riiiight). The DoE’s Office of Secure Transportation is taking good care that nothing happens to all these nuclear trucks constantly on the move. They are operated by 600 special agents from the Department of Energy, and the whole operation costs $250 million a year....

Al Qaeda, State Dept. Sponsored Terrorists, Back US Regime Change in Syria

Plan B for US after UN Veto? – deploy Al Qaeda “foreign legion.”

It is now a matter of established public record that the “Libyan rebels” who the US funded, armed, trained, recognized politically, and even provided special forces and air support for through the UN and NATO, were in fact led by the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG), listed by the US State Department (page 1) as a “Foreign Terrorist Organization.”

Two West Point reports confirm that LIFG was formally joined with Al Qaeda, and many of its top leaders constitute the core of Al Qaeda’s upper echelons. These reports also confirm that LIFG fighters were operational in both Afghanistan and Iraq, killing US and British troops, and that the vast majority of their fighters were recruited from the Libyan cities of Benghazi and Darnah. In 2011, it would be these two cities that served as the epicenter of NATO-backed resistance against Qaddafi.

More recently it was exposed by French independent reporter Thierry Meyssan of that LIFG commander Abdul Hakim Belhaj has left the NATO bombed city of Tripoli and is now directing the “Free Syrian Army” from the border of Turkey (a NATO member since 1952)....
