Terrorist Threat is “Exaggerated”: 120k US Troops Fighting “No More than 50 Members of al-Qaeda” says CIA, IISS, MI-6

The London-based International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), is the world’s leading think tank for military affairs. It represents the top echelon of defence experts, retired officers and senior military men, spanning the globe from the United States and Britain to China, Russia and India.

I’ve been an IISS member for over 20 years. IISS’s reports are always authoritative but usually cautious and diplomatic, sometimes dull. However, two weeks ago the IISS issued an explosive report on Afghanistan that is shaking Washington and its Nato allies.

The report, presided over by the former deputy director of Britain’s foreign intelligence agency, MI-6, says the threat from al-Qaeda and Taliban has been “exaggerated” by the western powers. The US-led mission in Afghanistan has “ballooned” out of all proportion from its original aim of disrupting and defeating al-Qaeda. The US-led war in Afghanistan, says IISS, using uncharacteristically blunt language, is “a long-drawn-out disaster”.

Just recently, CIA chief Leon Panetta admitted there were no more than 50 members of Al Qaeda in Afghanistan. Yet US President Barack Obama has tripled the number of US soldiers there to 120,000 to fight Al Qaeda....

The Imperial Anatomy of Al-Qaeda – the CIA’s Drug-Running Terrorists and the “Arc of Crisis”

Andrew Gavin Marshall

Part I

Introduction

As the 9th anniversary of 9/11 nears, and the war on terror continues to be waged and grows in ferocity and geography, it seems all the more imperative to return to the events of that fateful September morning and re-examine the reasons for war and the nature of the stated culprit, Al-Qaeda.

The events of 9/11 pervade the American and indeed the world imagination as an historical myth. The events of that day and those leading up to it remain largely unknown and little understood by the general public, apart from the disturbing images repeated ad nauseam in the media. The facts and troubled truths of that day are lost in the folklore of the 9/11 myth: that the largest attack carried out on American ground was orchestrated by 19 Muslims armed with box cutters and urged on by religious fundamentalism, all under the direction of Osama bin Laden, the leader of a global terrorist network called al-Qaeda, based out of a cave in Afghanistan.

The myth sweeps aside the facts and complex nature of terror, al-Qaeda, the American empire and literally defies the laws of physics....

Karzai Aide in Corruption Inquiry is Tied to CIA

Posted on Aug 27, 2010 in Alphabet Agencies & Operations

The aide to President Hamid Karzai of Afghanistan at the center of a politically sensitive corruption investigation is being paid by the Central Intelligence Agency, according to Afghan and American officials.

Hayden’s Note:

In the words of the Cryptogon.com editor, “Shocking. Are you shocked? I’m shocked.”  LoL

Mohammed Zia Salehi, the chief of administration for the National Security Council, appears to have been on the payroll for many years, according to officials in Kabul and Washington. It is unclear exactly what Mr. Salehi does in exchange for his money, whether providing information to the spy agency, advancing American views inside the presidential palace, or both.

Mr. Salehi’s relationship with the C.I.A. underscores deep contradictions at the heart of the Obama administration’s policy in Afghanistan, with American officials simultaneously demanding that Mr. Karzai root out the corruption that pervades his government while sometimes subsidizing the very people suspected of perpetrating it.

Mr. Salehi was arrested in July and released after Mr. Karzai intervened. There has been no suggestion that Mr. Salehi’s ties to the C.I.A. played a role in his release; rather, officials say, it is the fear that Mr....

Masterminds, Mosques and Mass Insanity

Posted on Aug 20, 2010 in Alphabet Agencies & Operations

Exemplified by the furor over the so-called “Ground Zero mosque” in New York, and rumors of a new Al-Qaeda “mastermind”, 9/11 “war on terrorism” propaganda has been ramped up to deafening levels by various political factions.

Nearly a decade since Bush/Cheney’s 9/11 false flag deception, a fearful, self-destructive American mass public remains fully brainwashed by “war on terrorism”  deception— ignorant of history, and militantly oblivious to facts.

“Ground Zero mosque”: the art of missing the point

The ludicrous uproar over plans to build a Muslim community center in New York, the so-called “Ground Zero mosque” has dominated mainstream corporate news headlines. Political players from all sides, including President Barack Obama have joined the fray, attempting to prove themselves the superior “anti-terrorist”, or the better “commemorator of 9/11, when 3,000 people were killed by Muslim terrorists”. The right-wing is going berserk, gleefully.

Heated arguments have exploded around religion, tolerance, democracy, etc.—everything except the only fact that matters: 9/11 was a false flag operation, courtesy of the Bush-Cheney administration, carried out by an elite consensus, in order to justify the “war on terrorism”, and everything that came with it....

Operation Northwoods: American Terrorism

Operation Northwoods: American Terrorism

Journalist James Bamford summarized Operation Northwoods in his April 24, 2001 book Body of Secrets:

Operation Northwoods, which had the written approval of the Chairman and every member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, called for innocent people to be shot on American streets; for boats carrying refugees fleeing Cuba to be sunk on the high seas; for a wave of violent terrorism to be launched in Washington, D.C., Miami, and elsewhere. People would be framed for bombings they did not commit; planes would be hijacked. Using phony evidence, all of it would be blamed on Castro, thus giving Lemnitzer and his cabal the excuse, as well as the public and international backing, they needed to launch their war.[18]

[Sound familiar?]

Operation Northwoods, or Northwoods, was a false-flag plan that originated within the United States government in 1962. The plan called for Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) or other operatives to commit genuine acts of terrorism in U.S. cities and elsewhere. These acts of terrorism were to be blamed on Cuba in order to create public support for a war against that nation, which had recently become communist under Fidel Castro....

US Terrorism Against Iran: Understanding the CIA Propaganda

Iran’s Mass Graves: Gen. Hayden Spins “Adult” Propaganda

Former Spook Central boss, Gen. Micheal Hayden, told Fox News yesterday Iran’s latest propaganda effort is offensive.

Gen. Hossein Moghadam, a top Republican Guard official, told the Associated Press Iran has dug mass graves for the bodies of U.S. soldiers in the event Israel and the United States attack. Moghadam said the Republican Guard dug mass graves in the 1980s for Iraqi soldiers when Iran was at war with Iraq under Saddam Hussein, an effort supported by the United States, Israel, and the banksters. The western-instigated war ultimately cost Iran and Iraq around a million dead.

Considering the CIA’s successful efforts to destabilize Iran, Hayden’s comments are grotesquely ironic.

In 1953, the CIA launched Operation Ajax, a coup designed to overthrow Iran’s democratically elected president, Muhammad Mosaddeq. The CIA promptly installed the monarch Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. The Shah’s secret police, SAVAK, were trained by the CIA and Israel’s Mossad and were as brutal and terrifying as the Nazi Gestapo in World War II. The CIA provided the Shah and his sadistic secret police with lists of communists and other political dissidents to be tortured and assassinated....

Terawatt Research, Free Energy & the CIA

How many “free energy” companies have a former Director of the CIA and FBI on their payrolls? By my math, there’s just one: Terawatt Research, LLC.

Hayden’s Note:

Here is a graph showing certified results from UL and TUV Rheinland. I noticed that at the ~9.8Hz and ~19Hz ranges, the energy peaks most. These are nearly exponential ranges.  I wonder what energy ouput looks like at ~40 Hz…?

This article explores the backgrounds of the leading personnel at TeraWatt Research, LLC.  These men all have operational intelligence and Special Forces backgrounds at very high levels, including Director of the FBI and then the CIA.  Ever heard of the “black budget?”  Why do you think that the Pentagon needs $800 billion dollars as a yearly budget?  How much of that is siphoned off into black projects or “off the books” operations?  Does human greed not play a factor in this, as well?  Imagine the greed of KBR, Halliburton and Booze, Allen & Hamilton.  Now imagine a free energy machine in their hands, under their friend’s personal patent.  Dick Cheney, CEO of Halliburton, has extremely…extremely close ties to the Pentagon and has for decades as he rose up the ranks under George Bush Sr., the former Director of the CIA....

CIA Gives Blackwater Firm $100 Million Security Contract for Afghan Bases

Posted on Jun 24, 2010 in Police, Military, & War

Source: Washington Post

The Central Intelligence Agency has hired Xe Services, the private security firm formerly known as Blackwater Worldwide, to guard its facilities in Afghanistan and elsewhere, according to an industry source.

The previously undisclosed CIA contract is worth about $100 million, said the industry source, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the deal, which is classified.

“It’s for protective services … guard services, in multiple regions,” said the source.

Two other security contractors, Triple Canopy and DynCorp International, put in losing bids for the CIA’s business, the source said.

The revelation comes only a day after members of a federal commission investigating war-zone contractors blasted the State Department for granting Blackwater with a new $120 million contract to guard U.S. consulates under construction in Afghanistan.

CIA spokesman Paul Gimigliano stopped short of confirming the contract, saying only that Xe personnel would not be involved in operations.

“While this agency does not, as a rule, comment on contractual relationships we may or may not have, we follow all applicable federal laws and regulations,” Gimigliano said.

The spokesman added, “We have a very careful process when it comes to procurement, and we take it seriously....

Facebook Creator Called Trusting Users “Dumb F*cks”

Andrew Orlowski

Loveable Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg called his first few thousand users “dumb f*cks” for trusting him with their data, published IM transcripts show. Facebook hasn’t disputed the authenticity of the transcript.

Zuckerberg was chatting with an unnamed friend, apparently in early 2004. Business Insider, which has a series of quite juicy anecdotes about Facebook’s early days, takes the credit for this one.

The exchange apparently ran like this:

Zuck: Yeah so if you ever need info about anyone at Harvard

Zuck: Just ask.

Zuck: I have over 4,000 emails, pictures, addresses, SNS

[Redacted Friend’s Name]: What? How’d you manage that one?

Zuck: People just submitted it.

Zuck: I don’t know why.

Zuck: They “trust me”

Zuck: Dumb f*cks

The founder was then 19, and he may have been joking. But humour tells you a lot. Some might say that this exchange shows Zuckerberg was not particularly aware of the trust issue in all its depth and complexity.

Facebook is currently in the spotlight for its relentlessly increasing exposure of data its users assumed was private.

Pentagon Releases MK-Ultra & MK-Naomi Documents

Posted on May 12, 2010 in Alphabet Agencies & Operations

Source: Wired

via Cryptogon.com

More than 30 years after it was written, the Pentagon has released a memorandum detailing its involvement in the CIA’s infamous Cold War mind-control experiments.

The 17-page document (.pdf), “Experimentation Programs conducted by the Department of Defense That Had CIA Sponsorship or Participation and That Involved the Administration to Human Subjects of Drugs Intended for Mind-Control or Behavior-Modification Purposes,” was prepared in 1977 by the General Counsel of the Department of Defense and released on May 6 after a Freedom of Information Act request.

Most of the details have been revealed in earlier CIA papers. And if anything, the Pentagon’s recap is a reminder of how little the Department of Defense cops to knowing about the CIA projects.

Still, there are some tantalizing new details. Take the origins of MK-ULTRA, the notorious CIA program that dosed thousands of unwitting participants with hallucinogenic drugs.

Initially funded by the Navy, the project set out to study the effects of brain concussion. Soon after, scientists noted that a blow to the head prompted amnesia, leading to the pursuit of a drug-based technique to “induce brain concussion … without physical trauma.” Shortly thereafter, the project was transferred entirely to the CIA, because it involved “human experiments … not easily justifiable on medical-therapeutic grounds.”

Other programs, described briefly focused on mind control....

Ron Paul on HR 2194: “Today’s Conversation Was Nothing But War Propaganda…” *Video*

Congressman Paul took to the House floor on Thursday to oppose H.R. 2194, the Comprehensive Iran Sanctions, Accountability and Divestment Act, and he warned against the war propaganda being spread in the House.

http://www.youtube.com/wa…

Just as the US did in 2002 with the GOPS and Iraq, Congress has just passed the Comprehensive Iran Sanctions, Accountability and Divestment Act. Once again we see the same propaganda coming from the Gov. that brought us to Iraq, being repeated by the Dems as they work towards war with Iran. All of this because of possible WMD’s in Iran. Doesn’t matter that the CIA already has said they aren’t building them. Its like deja vu…...

CIA Documents Suggest Foreign Involvement in 1995 OKC Bombing

Posted on Apr 15, 2010 in Alphabet Agencies & Operations

By Jerry Bohnen

CIA documents suggest foreign involvement in OKC 1995 Bombing but a Judge refuses to make them public in FOIA case.

Someone from a foreign country was involved in the Oklahoma City 1995 bombing of the Murrah building, either as a participant, planner or government operative, suggests a Utah federal judge’s ruling in a Freedom of Information Fight.

And the same ruling by U.S. District court judge Clark Waddoups showed the CIA assisted federal prosecutors in the cases they built against Tim McVeigh and Terry Nichols.  The ruling last week in Salt Lake City came in the FOIA challenge made by Jesse Trentadue, an attorney who has been in a long struggle to get government documents regarding the 1995 death of his brother Kenneth in the Oklahoma City Federal Transfer Center.

Jesse Trentadue sought a dozen documents from the CIA and Judge Waddoups ruled they were considered ‘national security’ and would not be made available to the public.  It was the first such national security defense ever used by the government in denying records to Trentadue.

While the exact content of the documents was not revealed in detail, Judge Waddoups, in making his ruling against Trentadue hinted at what they regarded....

S. 3081 Enemy Belligerent Interrogation – A Sick Merry-Go-Round

Posted on Apr 01, 2010 in Constitutional & Liberty Issues, Political Issues

Kevin Hayden

Truth is Treason.net

I was notified of this bill some time ago, but could not find the time to sit down and read over it.  Today, I finally had a chance to get my hands on it and was a bit shocked by what I read.  And nowadays, that’s a pretty difficult task to do.

The bill in question is “S.3081 – Enemy Belligerent, Interrogation, Detention, and Prosecution Act of 2010” which thus far has been referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee. The bill outlines the process by which Americans may be held indefinitely, without notice of their Miranda Rights, and without ever being charged with a crime. Worse, detainment of an individual according to the legislation is authorized by mere suspicion that the individual did or seeks to harm any asset of the United States government or any civilian target.

Even more disappointing, the bill introduced last Thursday, March 4th, already has nine eight co-sponsors, including the supposed “Tea Party” candidate Senator Scott Brown of Massachusetts.  David Vitter, of Louisiana has taken his name off of the bill....

CIA Red Cell Report – Shoring Up Afghan War Support in Europe, ‘Classified’

Posted on Mar 27, 2010 in Alphabet Agencies & Operations, Police, Military, & War

Source: WikiLeaks

This classified CIA analysis from March, outlines possible PR-strategies to shore up public support in Germany and France for a continued war in Afghanistan. After the Dutch government fell on the issue of Dutch troops in Afghanistan last month, the CIA became worried that similar events could happen in the countries that post the third and fourth largest troop contingents to the ISAF-mission.

The proposed PR strategies focus on pressure points that have been identified within these countries. For France it is the sympathy of the public for Afghan refugees and women. For Germany it is the fear of the consequences of defeat (drugs, more refugees, terrorism) as well as for Germany’s standing in the NATO. The memo is an recipe for the targeted manipulation of public opinion in two NATO ally countries, written by the CIA.

It is classified as Confidential / No Foreign Nationals.

WikiLeaks – Video Of US Military Shooting Journalists And Civilians

Posted on Mar 24, 2010 in Police, Military, & War

WikiLeaks tweet:

Finally cracked the encryption to US military video in which journalists, among others, are shot. Thanks to all who donated $/CPUs.

Wow

If this turns out to be true (which I have no doubt it is) – this could undermine all the propaganda they’ve put out to-date.  If the US government is capable of this, do you think they might be capable of pulling a 9/11 false flag event?  We already know the Gulf of Tonkin was staged as well as the attack on the USS Liberty.

As you may or may not know, the current head of the CIA is also the chair of the New York Stock Exchange – with previous heads including George HW Bush.

From Techie-buzz:

WikiLeaks has promised to reveal a Pentagon murder cover-up at the US National Press Club on April 5. Although, very little information is available about the nature of the information available to WikiLeaks, it is definitely sensitive enough to prompt the US government into action.

A flurry of recent updates on the official WikiLeaks Twitter account suggests that they are currently under an aggressive US and Icelandic surveillance operation.
