Former Intelligence Chief says the US Creates Terror Groups

Former head of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) agency Hamid Gol says the United States is seeking to create and train terrorist groups in the region.

In a Wednesday interview with Fars news agency, Gol said Washington had been making efforts to destabilize the region through supporting groups like the Pakistan-based Jundallah terrorist group.

Gol went on to say that such attempts by the US intelligence agencies were in particular directed at fomenting unrest in Iran.

“The US intelligence agencies pursued just one goal by forming Rigi’s group which was provoking unrests and instability in Iran,” Gol was quoted as saying.

He also accused Washington and its western allies of seeking to strain ties between Iran and Pakistan.

The remarks come days after Iranian security forces arrested Jundallah ringleader Abdolmalek Rigi while he was aboard a Kyrgyz airliner on a flight from the United Arab Emirates to Kyrgyzstan.

In his confession broadcast by Press TV in late February after his arrest, Rigi talked about offers of unlimited support by the US spy agency, the CIA, saying the Americans offered to “cooperate with us” and “promised to give us a base along the border with Afghanistan near Iran.”

Rigi’s group has claimed responsibility for numerous terrorist attacks in Iran....

Arrested Terrorist Leader Exposes Extensive CIA Connections

The leader of a Pakistan based terrorist organisation closely affiliated with Al Qaeda has detailed how his group benefited from extensive political and financial support from the CIA in return for continued attacks against the government, the people and the infrastructure of Iran.

Abdolmalek Rigi, the leader of the Pakistan-based Jundullah terrorist organization was captured earlier this week by Iranian security officials in the south of the country.

Rigi was tracked by Iranian intelligence when he boarded a flight from Dubai to Kyrgyzstan on Tuesday.

According to officials, Rigi was using a forged Afghan passport which was issued to him by the U.S. government.

The 31-year-old terror leader issued a statement on Iranian state TV yesterday, during which he alleged that he had made a pact with the U.S. for safe haven and unlimited military aid to pursue terrorist activities against the Iranian government.

“They said they would cooperate with us and will give me military equipment, arms and machine guns. They also promised to give us a base along the border with Afghanistan next to Iran,” Rigi said....

Poland Admits to CIA Planes Landing Within It’s Territory

Posted on Feb 23, 2010 in Alphabet Agencies & Operations

 Source: RT News

Official flight logs released Monday confirm Poland hosted aircraft linked to a CIA program for secretly moving and holding terrorism suspects. It adds to the allegations that the country could have hosted a CIA prison.

The data from a government-run agency was made public after prompting by two human rights organizations. Previously, Polish authorities had vigorously denied the country’s involvement in the CIA’s project. The new findings could prove that Poland hosted one of the black sites, a network of CIA secret prisons overseas where terrorism suspects were kept and brutally interrogated.

Wayne Madsen, an investigative journalist, told RT this will not be the last revelation about the case.

The story of Poland’s possible involvement into the CIA program was first run in 2005 by the Washington Post, “but they didn’t give the location. Now we know that there are two countries involved officially: Lithuania and Poland”, Wayne Madsen says.

As information agency Associated Press reports, the data is the first official evidence that Poland hosted CIA planes. However, the flight logs do not prove that there were prisoners on board....

License to Kill? Intelligence Chief Says U.S. Can Assassinate American Terrorist

Posted on Feb 03, 2010 in Police, Military, & War

Source: ABC News (bleh)

The director of national intelligence affirmed rather bluntly today that the U.S. intelligence community has authority to target American citizens for assassination if they present a direct terrorist threat to the United States.

“We take direct actions against terrorists in the intelligence community, if … we think that direct action will involve killing an American, we get specific permission to do that,” Director of National Intelligence Dennis Blair told the House Intelligence Committee.

Rep. Peter Hoekstra D-Mich., addressed the issue at today’s hearing.

“The targeting of Americans — it’s a very sensitive issue, but again there’s been more information in the public domain that what has been shared with this committee,” he said.

“There is no clarity.” Hoekstra said. “What is the legal framework?”

“Whether that American is involved in a group that is trying to attack us, whether that American has — is a threat to other Americans. Those are the factors involved.” Blair explained. “We don’t target people for free speech. We target them for taking action that threatens Americans.”

According to U.S. officials only a handful of Americans would be eligible for targeting by U.S....

Pentagon’s “Black Budget” Tops $56 Billion

Posted on Feb 02, 2010 in Alphabet Agencies & Operations, Police, Military, & War

Source: Wired

The Defense Department just released its king-sized, $708 billion budget for the next fiscal year. Much of the proposed spending is fairly detailed — noting exactly how many helicopters the Pentagon plans to buy and how many troops it plans on playing. But about $56 billion goes simply to “classified programs,” or to projects known only by their code names, like “Chalk Eagle” and “Link Plumeria.” That’s the Pentagon’s black budget.

Cobbling together this round figure for the military’s hush-hush projects is easier than it seems. The Pentagon’s separate ledgers for operations, research and procurement all contain line items for “classified programs.” Add those to the nonsensically-named programs, and you’ve got yourself an estimate for the Pentagon’s secretive efforts.

Last year, that budget grew to more than $50 billion – ”the largest-ever sum,” according to Aviation Week’s Bill Sweetman, a longtime black-budget seer. A few more billion were added for wartime operations, for a total of $54 billion. This year’total would be $2 billion higher, a 3.7 percent increase.

Not all of the Pentagon’s secret projects got a budget boost, however....

Osama bin Laden Blames America for Global Warming

Posted on Jan 29, 2010 in Featured Articles

Source: New York Times By JACK HEALY

Osama bin Laden, the leader of Al Qaeda, blamed the United States and developed countries for not halting climate change and said that the global economy should immediately abandon its reliance on the American dollar, according to an audiotape released Friday by the broadcaster Al Jazeera.

Hayden’s Note:

[Quite frankly, I am laughing so hard after reading this article that I am speechless.  I’m gonna have to walk away for a bit and come back to add my editorial.  All I can do is shake my head and laugh out loud at the moment.]

“Talk about climate change is not an ideological luxury but a reality,” Mr. bin Laden was quoted as saying in a report on Al Jazeera’s English-language Web site. “All of the industrialized countries, especially the big ones, bear responsibility for the global warming crisis.”

The authenticity of the tape could not be immediately confirmed, and Al Jazeera, which is based in Qatar, did not say how it had obtained the message.

But if substantiated, it would be Mr....

The Truth About Haiti – Kidnapped Presidents, Puppets & George Bush, Part III: Drugs, Bribery, Eco-Weapons & the CIA

People of goodwill everywhere are rightly sympathetic to the plight of hundreds of thousands of innocent Haitians in the aftermath of the terrible earthquake that rocked the island country. Private donations and volunteer efforts are pouring into Haiti from all over the globe–especially from the United States. This is a good thing, right? So, why am I troubled?

There are many things that do not add up regarding what is going on in Haiti.

featured stories Whats Really Going On In Haiti?

Simply put, I cannot remember such an all-out “relief effort” by our nation’s military and government forces following a natural disaster anywhere–ever! Not even New Orleans, Louisiana, and surrounding Gulf Coast communities here in the homeland received the kind of attention from Washington, D.C., that Haiti is receiving.

According to Agence France-Press (AFP), “The US military is ramping up its mission in quake-hit Haiti, with 20,000 US troops expected to operate on ground and offshore by Sunday [January 24], the US commander overseeing the region said.”

No doubt, this would include ships and personnel from the USS Carl Vinson carrier group. Cost to US taxpayers to send an entire carrier group–along with more than 20,000 (so far) military personnel–to Haiti already numbers in the multiplied millions of dollars....

NATO Holds Fundraiser to Pay Off Taliban Leadership

Posted on Jan 26, 2010 in Featured Articles, Police, Military, & War

Source: Telegraph

The Nato Secretary General has said the London Conference on Afghanistan will be used to raise millions of pounds to pay off the Taliban leadership.

[Hayden’s Note:  Let me get this straight; NATO believes that they can hold a fundraiser and PAY OFF the Taliban?  I’ll approach this from two points of view in order to provide a “fair and balanced” response.

1.)  The Taliban and similar insurgants are truly terrorists and are the bad guys.  Well, if that’s true – do you think that a religious extremist / holy warrior will accept a monetary donation in lieu of fighting for his eternal soul and honor?  Turn the tables and apply that to your own religion if you follow one.  Would you vow to never again attend a worship service or speak of your religious beliefs if someone paid you $25,000?  Would you take a pay-off in order to give up your Freedom of Speech?  Freedom to own firearms?  Freedom from unlawful searches and seizures?  No, you wouldn’t.  So why would a supposed jihad extremist lay down his weapons and stop fighting for a small fee?...

[Hayden’s Note:  ….really?  I almost fell over laughing when I heard that *another* Osama bin Laden tape had been released.  The only thing funnier would be Osama claiming responsibility for the Christmas Day underwear bombing attempt.  When will this nonsense stop?  When will people realize that this “terrorist”, bin Laden, has been dead for quite some time now.  The former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Benazir Bhutto, even stated that Osama bin Laden was killed in an interview with Sir Robert Frost on the BBC.  She was assassinated shortly thereafter.  Any coincidence that since that time we have learned a great deal about Cheney’s secret CIA approved ‘Assassination Teams’ being led by Blackwater?  Hmmm.  The “terror” just keeps on coming!]

In a patently absurd follow-up to the made-over Osama by the Justice Department (using the face of an Italian communist), the CIA and Defense Department linked propaganda unit IntelCenter has released yet another Osama audio tape. IntelCenter was caught adding its logo and that of As-Sahab to the same layer of a purported al-Qaeda video, according to Neal Krawetz, a researcher and computer security consultant....

Ron Paul: CIA Has Staged a Coup, Runs US Military

Posted on Jan 21, 2010 in Alphabet Agencies & Operations

Source: RawStory via BlackListedNews

US House Rep. Ron Paul says the CIA has has in effect carried out a “coup” against the US government, and the intelligence agency needs to be “taken out.”

Speaking to an audience of like-minded libertarians at a Campaign for Liberty regional conference in Atlanta this past weekend, the Texas Republican said:

There’s been a coup, have you heard? It’s the CIA coup. The CIA runs everything, they run the military. They’re the ones who are over there lobbing missiles and bombs on countries. … And of course the CIA is every bit as secretive as the Federal Reserve. … And yet think of the harm they have done since they were established [after] World War II. They are a government unto themselves. They’re in businesses, in drug businesses, they take out dictators … We need to take out the CIA.

Paul’s comments, made last weekend, were met with a loud round of applause, but they didn’t gather attention until bloggers noticed a clip of the event at YouTube.

Paul appeared to be referring to news reports that the CIA is deeply involved in air strikes against Al Qaeda targets in Afghanistan and Pakistan....

US Expands War in Pakistan with BlackWater (Xe), Predator Drone Bombings

Posted on Dec 14, 2009 in Police, Military, & War

Source: Press TV

After confirmation that the CIA has been operating drone strikes in Pakistani territory, a new report says the US is seeking to expand the attacks into the country’s cities.

The Los Angeles Times reported on Sunday that top US officials were pushing to expand the air strikes beyond Pakistan’s tribal region and into the major city of Quetta to allegedly target the Taliban.

Although the US and Pakistan have long been denying that the drones were taking off from Pakistani soil, the CIA confirmed on Saturday that US security contractor Xe Services, formerly known as Blackwater, has been helping the agency to launch the attacks from within Pakistan.

CIA spokesman George Little quoted spy agency Director Leon Panetta as saying that US has been launching the attacks from secret airfields in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

The new revelations also contradicted earlier US assertions that the notorious private security company does not operate in Pakistan.

Beside that, the Islamabad government and Blackwater itself had denied that the company was operating in the country.

The US claims that main Taliban leaders including Mullah Mohammed Omar fled to Pakistan’s Quetta after the US-led invasion of Afghanistan in 2001.

Obama Sends 30k More Troops to Chase CIA Assets

Posted on Dec 01, 2009 in Political Issues

Washington (CNN) — President Obama is sending 30,000 additional troops to Afghanistan but has set a date of July 2011 to begin drawing down American forces, senior administration officials told CNN Tuesday.  The president has a goal of withdrawing most U.S. forces by the end of his current term, the officials said. Obama’s first term ends in a little more than three years.  The president is ordering the Pentagon to complete what the officials called a “surge” of reinforcements to Afghanistan by the summer of 2010. A transfer of security responsibility from American and NATO forces to Afghan forces is slated to begin roughly a year later.

[Hayden’s Note: Gee, where have we heard this line before?  I could have sworn we had said numerous times that a “transfer of responsibility” would occur.  And then 6 months later, “A transfer of police authority will occur soon”, blah blah blah.  Do you realize this is the same dog and pony show that it’s been for the last 6 or 7 years?  Nothing has changed.  Obama, a liberal – who typically oppose increases in war efforts – is saying the exact same things that the Conservative war mongers are saying. ...

How the US Funds the Taliban

How the U.S. funds the Taliban
Aram Roston – Nov 11, 09
The Nation
In ‘grotesque carnival,’ contractors pay insurgents to protect supply lines.

On October 29, 2001, while the Taliban’s rule over Afghanistan was under assault, the regime’s ambassador in Islamabad gave a chaotic press conference in front of several dozen reporters sitting on the grass. On the Taliban diplomat’s right sat his interpreter, Ahmad Rateb Popal, a man with an imposing presence. Like the ambassador, Popal wore a black turban, and he had a huge bushy beard. He had a black patch over his right eye socket, a prosthetic left arm and a deformed right hand, the result of injuries from an explosives mishap during an old operation against the Soviets in Kabul.

But Popal was more than just a former mujahedeen. In 1988, a year before the Soviets fled Afghanistan, Popal had been charged in the United States with conspiring to import more than a kilo of heroin. Court records show he was released from prison in 1997.

Flash forward to 2009, and Afghanistan is ruled by Popal’s cousin President Hamid Karzai.

CIA Denies Key Intelligence to House Committee about Major Hasan + Obama’s Comments

Posted on Nov 10, 2009 in Police, Military, & War

Source: ABC News

U.S. intelligence agencies were aware months ago that Army Major Nidal Malik Hasan was attempting to make contact with an individual associated with al Qaeda, two American officials briefed on classified material in the case told ABC News.

Army knew suspected Fort Hood gunman had contact with al Qaeda recruiter.

According to the officials, the Army was informed of Hasan’s contact, but it is unclear what, if anything, the Army did in response.

[Hayden’s Note: If the Army in fact knew that one of their Majors was in contact with the supposed mortal enemy of the United States, al-Qaeda (al-CIA-duh!) I THINK they would do something about it.]

Rep. Peter Hoekstra (R-MI), the ranking Republican on the House Intelligence Committee, said that he requested the CIA and other intelligence agencies brief the committee on what was known, if anything, about Hasan by the U.S. intelligence community, only to be refused.

In response, Hoekstra issued a document preservation request to four intelligence agencies. The letter, dated November 7th, was sent to directors Dennis Blair (DNI), Robert Mueller (FBI), Lt....

Nov 01, 2009

The Afghan minister of counter narcotics says foreign troops are earning money from drug production in Afghanistan.

article_opium_soldierGeneral Khodaidad Khodaidad said the majority of drugs are stockpiled in two provinces controlled by troops from the US, the UK, and Canada, IRNA reported on Saturday.

He went on to say that NATO forces are taxing the production of opium in the regions under their control.

Afghanistan is the world’s biggest supplier of opium.

Drug production in the Central Asian country has increased dramatically since the US-led invasion eight years ago.

A recent report by the United Nations states that Afghan opium is having a devastating impact on the world, killing thousands in consumer countries.

Meanwhile, The New York Times reported on Wednesday that Ahmad Wali Karzai, a brother of the Afghan president, is involved in the opium trade, meets with Taliban leaders, and is also a CIA operative.

The opium trade is the major source of Taliban financing....
