It’s been on the docket since 2007 for the Food & Drug Administration to revamp nutrient guidelines for the American population. The FDA says it is close to issuing a new guideline that may water-down essential nutrients in foods and multivitamins.
At issue is whether the FDA will use the relied-upon RDA (Recommended Daily Allowance) that covers the nutrient needs of 98% of the population or the EAR (Estimated Average Requirement) which only addresses the nutrient level needed to meet the needs of 50% of the population.
While the proposed FDA rule is anticipated any time now (it will have to withstand a public comment period), one wonders whether the FDA will take into consideration a newly-published report showing the Estimated Average Requirement (EAR) level would leave many Americans short of meeting their need for essential vitamins and minerals.
Please see information regarding Codex Alimentarius for further understanding and background information. This is a topic that is required reading if you are concerned about your health, vitamins or controls placed upon your foods. ...Continue ReadingView Comments (2)

Here’s a quick follow-up article to the one posted a few days ago about the Rawesome Food Club raid. Carefully read the statement issued by the Food and Drug Administration.
Note: Below, ‘Plaintiffs’ refers to James Stewart, Rawesome’s founder, Sharon Palmer, owner of Healthy Family Farms, and Victoria Bloch. The trio were charged with the production and sale of unpasteurized goat milk, goat cheese, and other products; and with “mislabeling cheese.” They were also charged with four counts of conspiracy to commit a crime.
According to the FDA…

“Plaintiffs’ assertion of a new ‘fundamental right’ to produce, obtain, and consume unpasteurized milk lacks any support in law.
“There is no ‘deeply rooted’ historical tradition of unfettered access to foods of all kinds.”
“Plaintiffs’ assertion of a ‘fundamental right to their own bodily and physical health, which includes what foods they do and do not choose to consume for themselves and their families,’ is similarly unavailing because plaintiffs do not have a fundamental right to obtain any food they wish.”

Bridget, the “lemon lady,” has responded and left a comment below. It appears that the Feds were going to get this lemon tree, one way or another and threatened her with a potential SWAT raid ifshe did not comply. Food Police thuggery at its finest.
A Wisconsin woman says she’s more than a little sour now that the U.S. government has forced her to turn over her lemon tree on the grounds that it could spread disease.
Bridget Donovan bought the tree online for $70 nearly three years ago and planted it in the yard of her Waukesha home, where she and her niece nurtured it, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.
It grew and yielded lemons and seemed to be healthy.
Then she got a letter from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
“Unfortunately, Meyer Lemon Tree (the seller) shipped your tree in violation of multiple quarantine laws enacted to prevent the spread of harmful plant diseases and pests,” the letter stated.
The Journal Sentinel said the tree had come from Florida, under quarantine at the time of the purchase because of diseases, and the government tracked where nursery stock had been shipped....Continue ReadingView Comments (10)

An Amish farm in Pennsylvania has been stopped from selling contraband milk after a year-long federal government
sting operation waste of tax dollars and manpower.
The Rainbow Acres Farm was found to have been smuggling banned unpasteurized milk to customers in Maryland. Raw milk drinkers claim that pasteurization eliminates good bacteria and changes the taste. But the Food and Drug Administration say unpasteurised milk can carry harmful bacteria such as salmonella, E.coli and listeria.
The FDA began to look into the farm, owned by Dan Allgyer, when an investigator used aliases to sign up to the farm’s internet group and placed orders for raw milk to be delivered to Maryland.
Sales are illegal in 11 states and the District, with other states having varying restrictions on purchase or consumption.
Karin Edgett, a Washington DC resident, told the Washington Times: ‘I look at this as the FDA is in cahoots with the large milk producers.
‘I don’t want the FDA and my tax dollars to go to shut down a farm that hasn’t had any complaints against it....Continue ReadingView Comments (3)

Aspartame is, by far, the most dangerous substance on the market that is added to foods.
Aspartame is the technical name for the brand names NutraSweet, Equal, Spoonful, and Equal-Measure. It was discovered by accident in 1965 when James Schlatter, a chemist of G.D. Searle Company, was testing an anti-ulcer drug.
Aspartame was approved for dry goods in 1981 and for carbonated beverages in 1983. It was originally approved for dry goods on July 26, 1974, but objections filed by neuroscience researcher Dr John W. Olney and Consumer attorney James Turner in August 1974 as well as investigations of G.D. Searle’s research practices caused the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to put approval of aspartame on hold (December 5, 1974). In 1985, Monsanto purchased G.D. Searle and made Searle Pharmaceuticals and The NutraSweet Company separate subsidiaries.
Aspartame accounts for over 75 percent of the adverse reactions to food additives reported to the FDA. Many of these reactions are very serious including seizures and death. A few of the 90 different documented symptoms listed in the report as being caused by aspartame include: Headaches/migraines, dizziness, seizures, nausea, numbness, muscle spasms, weight gain, rashes, depression, fatigue, irritability, tachycardia, insomnia, vision problems, hearing loss, heart palpitations, breathing difficulties, anxiety attacks, slurred speech, loss of taste, tinnitus, vertigo, memory loss, and joint pain....Continue ReadingLeave a Comment

This short animation depicts an armed FDA raid on a raw milk farmer who sells raw milk at the local farmer’s market. Today, the FDA and state agriculture officials are staging armed SWAT-style raids against farmers across the country, arresting innocent people, destroying their milk, stealing their cash and charging them with felony crimes.
Animation scripted, produced and voiced by Mike Adams, the Health Ranger.

Want an undeniable truth?
Our government is out of control.
To deny that is to deny all sense of reason and logic; to regress to your simple-minded, consensus trance thought (un)process.
To me, this is the fatal flaw in the argument of all those who support government, or in this case, BIG government. Because government ALWAYS grows and ALWAYS becomes an all-powerful entity that rules with an iron fist. I suppose you could call that undeniable truth number two.
I personally don’t subscribe to societal norms. My logic is simple, really: most things people do — and do without asking the question “why” just because “that’s what people do” — lead to harm.
Most people choose a corrupt Democrat or a corrupt Republican. We only have two choices, after all. Why vote for a third party when they can’t win? So the choice is invariably between two scumbag despots who want to control you, and the country (or state or county or city, depending on the election) ends up with a corrupt leader....Continue ReadingView Comments (2)

The treatment is so successful that, even today, thousands of patients from around the world flock to the Gerson clinics in Mexico (www.Gerson.org) to heal themselves of cancer, diabetes, heart disease and other chronic degenerative conditions.
Why are the clinics in Mexico? Because, not surprisingly, U.S. authorities have outlawed all natural cancer treatments in America and even viciously attacked the top scientists who discovered scientifically-valid cancer cures that really work. Want some proof? Watch the shocking documentary “Burzynski” and you’ll be stunned by what you learn.
That documentary is available to be watched, full length, at no charge right now at NaturalNews.TV. Seriously, watch this video and you will be absolutely blown away by how the government has declared war on our country’s best anti-cancer pioneers who could cure millions of people....

Genetically modified foods have become so ubiquitous in the US that even the grocery store ‘Whole Foods’ now admits it cannot keep biotech foods off its shelves. A representative for the corporation acknowledged in May of 2011 that the realities of the marketplace have forced a shift in the company’s previous no-GMO’s policy.
Joe Dickson, quality standards coordinator for Whole Foods Markets, notes that GMO’s dominate the market, especially for corn, soy and canola crops from which ingredients in most processed foods are derived. “Until there’s federal government mandated labeling of GMO ingredients, there’s no way to tell if packaged products contain GMO ingredients,” Dickson said. “Our approach is to work in the spirit of partnership with our suppliers … to encourage them to take active steps to avoid GMO ingredients.”
In spite of public skepticism about GMO foods, the FDA has backed Monsanto and other corporations, declaring that modified foods do not require special labeling letting consumers know they are eating Frankenfoods. This is in contrast to the European Union, where public concern over health issues resulted in a moratorium on GMO’s....Continue ReadingView Comments (27)

Ever since the birth control pill was approved by the FDA in 1960, scientists in the West have been looking for a male equivalent. It’s been a rocky road, in part for biological reasons: Hormonally, it’s much easier to control a single monthly event like ovulation than to try to stop the endless onslaught of sperm.
An equivalent “pill” for men would somehow have to stop sperm production without neutralizing their libido or erectile function. Pharmaceutical companies and government agencies have sunk millions into hormone-based contraceptive research that has yielded few viable products.
I must echo Kevin’s statements over at Cryptogon – You can almost immediately guess who’s name will come up in a story like this.
I’ll give you a hint – he’s one of the richest men in the world. Another hint? He likes computers. Wha? You need another hint? Okay – While he loves computers, he despises humankind and considers depopulation efforts a “success” if we can kill 15% of the population through vaccines and injections.
And then there’s RISUG....Continue ReadingView Comments (1)

There has been a concerted national effort by citizens to have the US government label GMOs. Opposing it are governments intent not only to keep them unlabeled in the US but efforts at the international level by the US government to remove all labeling of GMOs through Codex Alimentarius. The problem is that Codex applies to food, and GMOs don’t qualify.
William Engdahl wrote in March of 2010 about a USDA funded project to create a GM corn that sterilizes people.GMO, glyphosate and population reduction
One long-standing project of the US Government has been to perfect a genetically-modified variety of corn, the diet staple in Mexico and many other Latin American countries. The corn has been field tested in tests financed by the US Department of Agriculture along with a small California bio-tech company named Epicyte. Announcing his success at a 2001 press conference, the president of Epicyte, Mitch Hein, pointing to his GMO corn plants, announced, “We have a hothouse filled with corn plants that make anti-sperm antibodies.” 14
Hein explained that they had taken antibodies from women with a rare condition known as immune infertility, isolated the genes that regulated the manufacture of those infertility antibodies, and, using genetic engineering techniques, had inserted the genes into ordinary corn seeds used to produce corn plants....Continue ReadingView Comments (15)

While misguided youth light their cities on fire around the world, clashing with local police and battling with their fellow countrymen, all to the beat of US-funded opposition groups, real revolutionaries are quietly, pragmatically, and intelligently changing society. They do so not with placards, mobs, slogans, or aspirations for political power, but with the declaration, enumeration, and exercise of their innate sovereignty. While we naively hope for a political solution to mete out an equitable distribution of wealth and resources within a system created by hording megalomaniacs, there are those amongst us that understand the only way to solve the immense disparity throughout this world is to stop paying into the system that created it in the first place, and to take responsibility for the world around us on a local level.
One such man is Mr. Douglas Wollmar of Trenton, Maine. Having been inspired by the “Food Sovereignty Ordinance” passed by the neighboring towns of Sedgwick, Penobscot, and Blue Hill, he himself pushed for a similar ordinance to be passed in his own town....Continue ReadingLeave a Comment

The World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) has just completed a detailed review of more than 7,000 clinical studies covering links between diet and cancer. Its conclusion is rocking the health world with startling bluntness: Processed meats are too dangerous for human consumption. Consumers should stop buying and eating all processed meat products for the rest of their lives.
Processed meats include bacon, sausage, hot dogs, sandwich meat, packaged ham, pepperoni, salami and virtually all red meat used in frozen prepared meals. They are usually manufactured with a carcinogenic ingredient known as sodium nitrite. This is used as a color fixer by meat companies to turn packaged meats a bright red color so they look fresh. Unfortunately, sodium nitrite also results in the formation of cancer-causing nitrosamines in the human body. And this leads to a sharp increase in cancer risk for those who eat them.
A 2005 University of Hawaii study found that processed meats increase the risk of pancreatic cancer by 67 percent. Another study revealed that every 50 grams of processed meat consumed daily increases the risk of colorectal cancer by 50 percent....Continue ReadingView Comments (7)

For a people to be free, they must first be honest with themselves, their government, and the world at large. History is filled with stories of free nations that fell under the spell cast by their governments who exploited the threat of terror.
In fact, numerous presidents in American history already have used various specific threats to sidestep their Constitutional restraints. Today we are entering a nebulous world where our “enemy” cannot be defined, has no particular allegiance to one country, and is able to adopt new leaders at will. Rather than encourage a sense of resilience and independence in its citizens, America has chosen to amplify the terror threat in order to concentrate power in the hands of the State. The very first signpost on this historically familiar road to tyranny is an atmosphere of hate, suspicion, and vindictiveness. It first begins as an outwardly directed aggression and then rather abruptly turns inward upon itself.
The good news is that freedom is won and lost in the hearts and minds of men. ...Continue ReadingView Comments (1)
