We’ve discussed this a few times in the past, but the FBI’s main counter-terrorism initiative these days appears to be centered around creating its own terrorist plots to thwart. First, they find clueless, easily manipulated people, who have no actual connections with terrorists. Then, they concoct entire terrorism plots, where every other person is an FBI agent, and any tools, “weapons” and money are supplied by the FBI. Finally, they “bust” the guy just before he carries out the plot that never would have happened anyway. We see this pattern again and again – and each time the press uncritically hypes up how the FBI successfully stopped a real “homegrown” terrorist.

Of course, it’s happened once again, and the basic plotlines are identical to ones in the past. And, of course, the press is describing it like it was an actual terrorist plot, pretending that people was actually at risk.

In the FBI’s latest screenplay, they would have you believe that a 6’5, 350 lb. black man named Shaquille Azir approached a group of five motley Occupy protesters – who are self-described anarchists – and talk them into bombing a bridge with C-4 explosives.

While I enjoyed this video, I was wholly saddened by the fact that it, too, has a strong agenda and seems to have large pocketbooks behind it.  I noticed they didn’t mention US foreign policy ONCE, nor did they mention the damage that the Federal Reserve has done.  All in all, it’s a short video and worth watching, but as I always say, “Question Everything.”

Everyone has an agenda, and it is often times hard to see past the dazzling camera effects, feigned sincerity, and keyword emphasis, but keep your mind sharp and you’ll see through it every time.

Is there a secret plan to evacuate some residents of Chicago in the event of major trouble during the NATO summit next month? CBS 2 has uncovered some evidence that there is. It comes from the Milwaukee area branch of the American Red Cross.

CBS 2 News has obtained a copy of a Red Cross e-mail sent to volunteers in the Milwaukee area.

It said the NATO summit “may create unrest or another national security incident. The American Red Cross in southeastern Wisconsin has been asked to place a number of shelters on standby in the event of evacuation of Chicago.”

According to a chapter spokesperson, “Our direction has come from the City of Chicago and the Secret Service.”

Perhaps they are merely covering their bases should something bad occur, but I find it awfully peculiar given the Fed’s dismal track record of preparedness, disaster response, and contingency planning.

If you are unfamiliar with the “Primal Diet” or “Paleo” meal idea, the best way I can describe it would be doing away with the refined carbs, the grains, the sugar and the like.  Raw foodism is very similar – a lifestyle that promotes the consumption of uncooked, unprocessed, and often organic foods as a large percentage of the diet.  The Primal food-style adds a lot of quality grass-fed and organic animal meats and healthy fats.

Ask yourself, “What would a caveman have access to?”  Certainly not modern farming techniques and a never-ending supply of GMO corn and wheat.  Certainly not mass quantities of bleached starches and monosodium glutamate.  The human body has been constantly evolving for millions of years and it is an incredible machine when fed fuel that it is geared for.  You don’t put Kool-Aid in your truck and expect it to run very well because it’s not designed for it.  Likewise, the human body is not designed nor adapted to operate efficiently to the Westernized surge in cereal grains, refined pastries, chemically preserved snacks, excess fiber, and lots of alcohol (also mostly grain)....

ATK announced that it is being awarded an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) agreement from the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (DHS, ICE) for .40 caliber ammunition. This contract features a base of 12 months, includes four option years, and will have a maximum volume of 450 million rounds.

Hayden’s Note:

While I have little data to compare this to, I’m not entirely sure why Homeland Security would need 450 million rounds for four years. The main divisions that this contract is aimed at is ICE and Border Patrol.  ICE employs roughly 20,000 personnel (this includes office workers, admins, etc) with about 8,500 of these being investigative agents. The US Border Patrol also employs roughly 20,000 agents, so collectively, let’s just say we’re talking about 50,000 gun- carrying employees (which is far higher than reality).

Each agent carries a weapon that can hold roughly 15 rounds of .40 ammunition, with two more magazines on their belt for a total of 45.  This equates to about 2.25 million rounds to arm every single employee of ICE and Border Patrol.

The Supreme Court on Monday threw out a lower court ruling allowing human genes to be patented, a topic of enormous interest to cancer researchers, patients and drug makers.

Is it just me, or has there been a plethora of “wins!” lately when it comes to food freedom, Big Pharma, and personal health?  Not all is doom and gloom!  I would like to think that we are slowly turning back the tide…bit by bit.

The court overturned patents belonging to Myriad Genetics Inc. of Salt Lake City on two genes linked to increased risk of breast and ovarian cancer.

Myriad’s BRACAnalysis test looks for mutations on the breast cancer predisposition gene, or BRCA. Those mutations are associated with much greater risks of breast and ovarian cancer.

The American Civil Liberties Union has been arguing that genes couldn’t be patented, a position taken by a district court judge but overturned on appeal.

The justices’ decision sends the case back down for a continuation of the battle between the scientists who believe that genes carrying the secrets of life should not be exploited for commercial gain and companies that argue that a patent is a reward for years of expensive research that moves science forward....

It all sounds pretty scary, and it wasn’t long before the usual suspects were citing this as evidence of some kind of plan for martial law, just as there were people on the left and far-right in asserting that George Bush was going to declare martial law and cancel the elections in 2004 and 2008.

The massacre of 16 villagers by a U.S. soldier triggered angry calls from Afghans for an immediate American exit even as the Obama administration vowed on Monday that the killings would not alter U.S. plans for the war.

The gist of this article is this; a soldier went off the deep end, and walked over a mile from his base in order to massacre 16 civilians, including small children.  He then dragged all the bodies into one room and set them on fire.  Mind control?  PTSD?  Simply evil?  Who knows… but there has been a strange frequency of events that turn the locals into mobs.  

Just days before Sunday’s attack, Kabul and Washington had made significant progress in negotiations on a strategic partnership agreement that would allow American advisers and special forces to stay in Afghanistan after most foreign combat troops leave at the end of 2014.

But securing a full deal may be far more difficult now after a U.S. Army staff sergeant walked off his base in the southern province of Kandahar in the middle of night and gunned down at least 16 villagers, mostly women and children....

Just when you thought unemployment was dropping and stock markets were surging back, these three analysts today sent out a stark warning to Americans to brace for another financial crash.

….And this is a surprise?  I’ve written about this very topic for years now.  It’s painfully obvious to anyone paying attention that there will be another financial crash.  As for when, and the severity, is anyone’s guess.  Investing in tangibles, making long-term preparedness plans, and enjoying life is all you can do at the moment, so why get stressed out about it?

Trend forecaster Gerald Celente advises buying a gun to protect your family, stocking up on gold if the dollar crashes and planning a getaway, so it’s no shock he’s preparing for an ‘economic 9/11’.

Share prices and unemployment are posting their best figures in four years since the recession hit, but Mr Celente, along with authors Harry Dent and Robert Prechter, says the rebound won’t last.

All three were profiled in a USA Today feature on Monday. Mr Dent, who had The Great Crash Ahead published last September, believes stocks are simply experiencing an artificial short-term boost....

Most of the genetically-modified (GM) corn products forced on American consumers today are hidden in processed foods in the form of high-fructose corn syrup (HFCS), corn oil, corn starch, and various other corn-based additives.

But soon to be available at a Walmart near you is Monsanto’s Bt sweet corn, the agri-giant’s first ever GM corn product made available to consumers as whole ears right on the cob in the produce section– and like with all other GMOs, neither Walmart nor Monsanto has any intention of labeling this new “Frankencorn.”

I urge you to research the dangers of genetically modified foods. I have written countless articles on the topic.  With that being said, this move will further obfuscate and confuse consumers regarding the severity of GMOs.  For those few people out there who buy corn from the produce section in order to avoid BPA exposure from cans, or perhaps believe that the corn is better for you as a raw, unprocessed “produce item,” you’re in for a world of cancer and they won’t even give you a courtesy warning....

Italian police said on Friday they had seized about $6 trillion of fake U.S. Treasury bonds in Switzerland, and issued arrest warrants for eight people accused of international fraud and other financial crimes.

Stop for a minute and just think about what $6 trillion worth of Treasury bonds could do to our Dollar.  And if this was recently “caught,” think about how many forged Treasury Bonds have gone unnoticed?  How long has this been going on?  Who’s directing them?  If these were dumped onto the market, even in a slow, steady trickle, it would kill the US Dollar in short order.

I am doing a lot more research into this tonight and will be providing an update tomorrow on this topic.  This is a deep, deep rabbit hole.  These bonds might have been genuine.

I know many of you are wondering why I resigned from the New Orleans Police Dept. so abruptly.  Some have asked me if I was under criminal investigation, or similar.  Some have asked me if I’ve lost my mind; if I was ‘okay’ or needed some help.

The answer is a resounding NO.

I resigned, in part, due to my frustrations with a system built around obvious and inherent problems.  I finally said ‘enough is enough’ when I woke up one day and could truly see this department for what it really was and how most police officers turn a blind eye to the injustices occurring at their very own hands.  I realized that I joined this police department in order to effect change; to ultimately help people in need and leave this community in a better state than which I found it in.  But sadly, after 5 years…I’m done.  Some Officers have called me a ‘quitter’ or that I lacked the fortitude to be a police officer.  Even the Officers who say I’m one of the best cops they’ve ever known still question my motives with a degree of disgust and anger.  I politely shrug their ego-driven hostilities off my shoulder and look back on a 5 year career in which I effected massive change on the streets in many neighborhoods, changed countless citizen’s opinions on a very publicly corrupt and flawed police department, and stood my ground during one of the nation’s most unbelievable disasters; Hurricane Katrina....

Congress will soon be signing a bill allowing additional funding for a large expansion of TSA checkpoints soon.  Yes, checkpoints.  No longer are the TSA relegated to the lowly airport, as 25 teams have been roving the country side conducting highway checkpoints, setting up shop at bus terminals, sporting events, and even a high school prom.  Congress apparently feels as though you aren’t being reminded on a daily basis that you live in an ever-increasing police state, so they want to add twelve more “Viper Teams” to the roster.

Just this past weekend, I was introduced to just how invasive the new “pat downs” are at the airport after “opting-out” of the naked body scanner.   The TSA agent advised me before starting, “I have to run my hand up your thigh until I meet resistance, both front and back.”  I replied, “Uhh, resistance?  Like my pelvic bone?”  He laughed and said, “Exactly.  Ready?”

I was left conflicted and slightly amused; should I leave my phone number or demand he buy me dinner and a drink first?

The “dirty” secret about the Keystone XL pipeline’s oil sands hydrocarbons, which no amount of K Street PR can spin away, is that the oil has a higher carbon content than that from traditional fossil fuels, anywhere from 8 to 14 percent more, depending on which scientific report you read. Accordingly, the EU has already banned their import, much to Ottawa’s annoyance. Much to the consternation of Transcanada and the pipeline’s Republican boosters in Washington, environmental groups in such stalwart Republican states as Nebraska went up in arms over the Keystone XL proposal, fearing that a leak from the underground pipeline would irrevocably pollute the Ogalla Aquifer, source of much of the Great Plains’ agricultural water.

Deputy Chairman of the Majlis (Parliament) National Security and Foreign Policy Committee Esmail Kowsari warned that the next time the US ventures to violate Iran’s air sovereignty, it would receive a “frightful” response.

Kowsari warned that if US surveillance drones attempt to violate Iran’s sovereignty once again, Iran “will target every US military base anywhere in the world.”  The senior Iranian lawmaker further questioned the silence of the international community on the blatant US violation of Iran’s territorial integrity and highlighted the double standard behavior toward Iran.

“Our question is, that if this aircraft belonged to Iran and it had violated US territory, how many sessions would the international community and the UN Security Council have held and how many resolutions would they have issued against Iran?”

Exactly.  Imagine Iran, or even Russia, launching a surveillance drone and flying over Washington, DC, or Florida, or even Kansas…?  What would the response have been?  We would have likely countered with not only sanctions, and various resolutions, but more than likely a number of clandestine operations targeting their infrastructure and military in retaliation....

Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) today announced commonsense legislation that would prohibit open-air cultivation of Genetically Engineered (GE) pharmaceutical and industrial crops, preventing biological contamination of our food supply. The bill would also establish a tracking system to regulate and ensure the safety of GE pharmaceutical and industrial crops.

This is REAL food safety bill, unlike the Senate’s Food Safety Modernization Act (or SB 510) that was passed last year.  This is REAL change, REAL safety.  The contamination and cross-pollination of genetically modified organisms will destroy our food supply in short order.  It has already bankrupted thousands of American farmers, and has been the root cause of suicide by tens of thousands of Indian cotton farmers.  Monsanto is a bio-tech terrorist, plain and simple, and I consider GMOs to be one of the gravest dangers we face in this lifetime.

GMO soy and corn is the main staple of our industrial cattle and meat supply (when even 1st graders know that cows eat grass!), which often times causes farmers and feed lots to use antibiotics to keep the cows alive (this accounts for nearly 80% of antibiotic use in America – wonder why we have antibiotic-resistant illnesses lately?), and ultimately ends up in your body....

I’ll be the first to admit, people who refuse to compromise their principles under any circumstances can be utterly terrifying. Defiance, in its purest form, requires fearlessness; a brand of fearlessness we have little experience of today. For many in our society, fearlessness in the face of immeasurable opposition is unthinkable, and (unjustly) considered a sign of “madness”, or of “extremism”. To go against the tides of a culture, a collective, and point out its crimes and inconsistencies, is so counter to what they have been conditioned to expect, any sign of dissent triggers in them feelings of confusion and fury.

I can attest to this very topic.  During my last few years as a police officer, I began to “go against the grain” and became rather anti-authoritarian.  I started railing against the system and pointing out the inconsistencies, the flaws, and the irrational, illegal behavior.  And for all of my trouble, I was met with violent hostility from my fellow officers, cast out from the “inner circle,” and viewed as one of “them…” and no longer a part of the, “Us…”  When power-hungry cogs in a machine are shown how little they mean to the overall mecha, they begin to break down. 

They begin to doubt themselves and their mission.  In order to overcome this, they ramp up their lawlessness, their violence, and withdraw into their ego.  They retreat to the security of the “group” or collective and cast their fingers towards the person countering their hypocrisy – toward the one pointing out their crimes.   I lost many police friends due to conversations about 9/11, upholding ones’ oath, arrest quotas, the War on Drugs, and many other “sensitive” topics....

Your Monies and Positions Are Not Safe

Denver based Barnhardt Capital Management is a futures brokerage firm that focuses on agriculture, round-the-clock broker access, and inexpensive commissions. At least, it used to be.

Barnhardt shuttered its operations yesterday after six-years in the business. The firm’s founder Ann Barnhardt posted the reasons online for the entire world to see:

“I could no longer tell my clients that their monies and positions were safe in the futures and options markets, because they are not. And this goes not just for my clients, but for every futures and options account in the United States. The entire system has been utterly destroyed by the MF Global collapse.”

This is an excellent article and I recommend that you read it in its entirety.  If you are unsure of what exactly it’s talking about, here are a few beginner articles that may help you understand derivatives and how dangerous they are to our financial existence.  Secondly, I would recommend that you read up on “fractional reserve banking.”
These are easy to understand once they are translated into layman’s terms, so don’t worry.  Once you grasp the concept, this article, and many more economic and financial pieces will begin to terrify you.  My aim is nor to fear-monger, but the magnitude of this is almost unfathomable and the last line of this article, that last quote, is absolutely true – and that goes for not only financial markets, but society....

As you read this article, I urge you to refresh your memory with the absolutely horrid side effects and dangers of genetically modified foods.  Organ failure, 2nd and 3rd generation reproductive issues, fertility complications, spontaneous abortions, kidney problems, and more!  There is no science proving that GMO biotech creates higher, more nutritious yields, while study after study shows that quality, organic farming and permaculture techniques can boost yields several times over while boosting the nutrition and profit from the field.  GMOs are outright banned in several countries and many more require strict labeling of any genetically engineered ingredients.  America?  Hell, most Americans haven’t even heard of GMOs, let alone have labeling requirements!

And Bill Gates?  Don’t get me started.  He supports forced vaccinations, some even at gun point!  He is also helping develop a male contraceptive.  He said not long ago, “The world today has 6.8 billion people… that’s headed up to about 9 billion. Now if we do a really great job on new vaccines, health care, reproductive health services, we could lower that by perhaps 10 or 15 percent.”  Bill Gates - a eugenicist who’s company worked side by side with the Nazis, controls vast sums of money and spheres of influence, wants to alter your food.  Uhh, yeah.  Sounds trust-worthy, right?...

As the Occupy Wall Street events continue to expand and unfold, I’ve tried to keep tabs on my local event, Occupy OKC.  When this first started, I was elated at the idea of the common People finally getting off of their couch and protesting their grievances towards an out of control government.  But I was sadly mistaken.  Instead, as each new day passes, I hear and see more of these protesters demanding rights and privileges that I would be willing to take up arms to fight against.  The very problems that got me involved in politics and protesting are what most of the Occupy protesters are wanting.

In what has become an almost weekly topic, I present to you, the (known) crimes of the Transporation Security Administration for this week.  I should probably just start a monthly tally in the sidebar, but I would probably lose track.  On another note, police have now arrested more TSA workers than the TSA has arrested terrorists.  This only requires a few simple calculations, and …yup…  What we’ve known all along – the TSA is worse than terrorists.

On Tuesday, TSA screener Eduardo Valdes, 29, was reporting for duty on the secure side of the Miami International airport.  As he was passing through an employee security checkpoint, another screener noticed a handgun in his bag.  Valdes was taken into custody and later said that he simply forgot that the pistol was in his bag.  However, he had neither a permit, a concealed carry license, or a duty to be armed, so why it was [allegedly] in his work bag is a bit baffling… unless the uniform and badge confused him into believing he had actual arrest authority and juris prudence....

It’s called the Paid Detail Unit and it allows the New York Stock Exchange and Wall Street corporations, including those repeatedly charged with crimes, to order up a flank of New York’s finest with the ease of dialing the deli for a pastrami on rye.

Having worked for the New Orleans Police Dept. for 5 years, I had the opportunity to work numerous paid details.  I also saw the insanely corrupt side to “details.”  Many officers would technically be on the clock as a police officer, while also being paid $25-35 per hour for a private detail.  This involved many mid-level officers, all the way to the upper echelon.  Some officers would be on several different paid details at once while on the clock....

The Fast and Furious scandal, in which the Justice Department knowingly gave Mexican criminal gangs thousands of guns, just keeps escalating. The latest development centers around whether or not Attorney General Eric Holder lied to Congress about having knowledge of the controversial gun trafficking operation.

Recently released documents say Holder was briefed about the operation long before he told the Judiciary Committee he was first aware of what was going on.

Holder now claims he misunderstood the question that was being asked. Riiiiight.  If I were the top Attorney for the US, I would be easily confused by simple questions, too. “When did you hear about Fast and Furious?”  

“….uhhh, I don’t know.”  

“Can you rephrase the question?”

“I’m having a hard time hearing you.”

“Err, I have to take this call, be right back.”

Anytime politicians or officials wrangle their way out of important questions, they should be taken to the town square, placed in stocks, and …well, I better stop before I get some sort of terrorism charge for suggesting that our public officials maintain their oath and integrity and are held responsible when they fail to do so....

I was speaking to several close friends about two weeks ago regarding our current economic situation.  They had asked my opinion on what the short-term forecast would be and I laid out the fact that gold would be going back down to $1,730-1,750 per ounce on Dollar vs. Euro fears, Federal Reserve actions and the Euro debt debacle (gold is currently sitting at $1,727).  I recommended that they use that oppurtunity to purchase more precious metals, including silver bullion.  Even with shipping, delivery or dealer fees, they could easily profit from the purchase within a very short time (mid-October?).

This dip in metals’ price is (in my opinion) mostly attributed to yesterday’s announcement by the Federal Reserve of ”Operation Twist” (not totally unlike quantitative easing).  The Federal Reserve plans to flatten the yield curve of the US Treasuries by selling short-term bonds in order to buy long-term bonds.  Coupled with Euro fears, Greek bailouts and more, the stock markets plunged while the Dollar rallied strongly against the Euro.  Currently, the Euro markets are being slaughtered.  The “part-time” gold-buyers jumped ship and fled to the Dollar in order to make a profit and falsely consider themselves hedged against trouble.  This is what I call a False Dollar Rally… similar to the Sucker Rally that occurs almost weekly in the stock market....

Adam Guerrero and three kids from his neighborhood, Jovantae, Jarvis, and Shaquielle, hardly seem like lawbreakers as they turn over soil at Guerrero’s Memphis home.

But the city’s code enforcement department has deemed their urban garden a nuisance, and a judge has ordered them to remove the small ecosystem they’ve been working on for the last two years.

Update: Judge Larry Potter told Adam Guerrero that he may keep his Memphis garden if he makes a few changes, including keeping the front yard trimmed and reducing the number of worm bins on his property.

Judge Potter also advocated finding a piece of blighted property for Guerrero to devote to an educational garden. The City of Memphis is currently working to identify vacant land where Guerrero could grow a community garden.

Perhaps all of the alternative news sites that helped this story be heard had some effect!  I’d like to think so!  Read more at the Memphis Flyer.

According to the court summons, Guerrero, a math teacher at Raleigh-Egypt High School, was cited for violating city ordinances 48-38 and 48-87: He failed to “remove personal property” that is “unsightly” or a “nuisance,” and he failed to maintain “a clean and sanitary condition free from any accumulation of rubbish or garbage.”
