Eight Israelis were arrested in Colombia on suspicion of drug trafficking, money laundering and exploitation of minors, the country’s chief prosecutor told local media outlets on Tuesday.

The suspects, who were described in the reports as “former military men,” reside in the city of Taganga. According to one of the reports, they are suspected of sexually exploiting teenage girls.

As part of a separate investigation, the suspects are also being questioned about their ties to a local drug trafficking ring.

The chief prosecutor noted that the Israeli men were under surveillance during the past year, after arousing the suspicion of local police officers and community leaders.

One of the reports claimed that police obtained tape recordings, some in Hebrew, which might incriminate the suspects.

The suspects denied the allegations, claiming that they were legitimate businessmen.

In January 2011, Colombia asked Israel to extradite former Israeli army Lt. Col. Yair Klein, who was convicted by a Colombian court and sentenced in absentia to nearly 11 years in prison for training drug-traffickers’ assassins in the late 1980s....

I rarely write editorials like this, but my jaw just dropped to the floor.  I’ve been watching the Iowa Caucus coverage and Fox, CNN, etc have been covering the Romney and Santorum camps pretty heavily, as expected.  They finally switched over to the Ron Paul HQ, where the correspondant was interviewing an active duty US soldier.

Jesse Thorsen has served 10 years in the Army, and about to embark on his 3rd tour in Afghanistan.  When the anchor labeled Ron Paul’s foreign policy as “dangerous” – the soldier responded, saying we should stop nit-picking in other countries’ affairs, Israel can take care of herself, and to bring the troops home.  Suddenly, the feed began to go fuzzy and cut out.  Of course, they returned to the studio and began talking about Romney.

Moscow has accused the west of stirring up tensions in the Arab world by calling for the overthrow of the Syrian regime. Russia says calls from certain states for the Syrian opposition to avoid dialogue with the government, are only provoking further violence. Author and journalist Webster Tarpley, who’s in Damascus, says it’s very simple; Western powers are behind the violence in Syria, including death squads and snipers trying to instigate problems.

This reminds me of the assassination of Benazhir Bhutto, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan.  She was shot in the face and Heads of State claimed it was protesters, terrorists, or an explosion.  Most geopolitical sources now agree that it was an targeted intelligence operation involving snipers and quite likely, private contractors being the trigger man.

This also echoes what just happened in Libya… hired mercenaries and al-Qaeda members from the region descend upon the towns as a Western proxy army in order to cause regime change....

As the drums for direct military intervention to derail Iran’s purported covert military nuclear weapons program beat louder in both Jerusalem and Washington, an overlooked issue is the possibility of international “collateral damage,” to use the Pentagon’s favorite euphemism for civilian casualties.

On 14 November, South Korea’s Chosun Ilbo stated, “Hundreds of North Korean scientists and engineers are working at about 10 nuclear and missile facilities in Iran, including Natanz. The North Koreans are apparently rotated every six months.”  Russian technicians also remain at Iran’s first nuclear electrical energy facility, Bushehr. So, any aerial strikes against Iran’s nuclear facilities could result in significant numbers of dead Russian and North Korean specialists as “collateral damage,” with all the diplomatic uncertainties that might ensue from Moscow and Pyongyang as the body bags start arriving home.

Let’s see here… Israel and the United States conduct a joint-strike on Iran, to which Russia has already made it very clear that there will be grave consequences for, along with Iran echoing these sentiments…  Add to that, the death of hundreds of their top scientists and you have a cocktail for World War 3....

Israel’s prime minister has ordered an investigation into alleged leaks of plans to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities, it has been reported.

According to the Kuwaiti newspaper al-Jarida, the main suspects are the former heads of the Mossad and the Shin Bet, respectively Israel’s foreign and domestic intelligence agencies.

Netanyahu is said to believe that the two, Meir Dagan and Yuval Diskin, wanted to torpedo plans being drawn up by him and Ehud Barak, the defence minister, to hit Iranian nuclear sites.

This is interesting, for a number of reasons. I’ve been hearing whispers and rumors in various circles regarding a… shift; a shift in the strategic military and intelligence players’ way of thinking.  I’ve heard hints of two different factions within the intelligence world and it’s not what you’d think.  There are many senior and former senior members that seem to be doing everything they can to thwart a coming global war and to slow the massive machinery of the power grabbers.  From stories about the underground bases and military tunnels in Denver and Virginia being bombed, to rumors of this Israeli intelligence defiance (of all people!) … something is peculier....

With globalist restructuring plans for the Middle East and North Africa looking to be nearly complete, one major hurdle remains. After a relatively easy path to victory in Tunisia and Egypt, and with the project to dismantle and re-privatise the Libyan state nearly complete, only Syria remains as the last serious contender for resistance against a globalist effort to dominate the greater region.

According to a report yesterday in USA TODAY, the Syrian leader, President Bashar Assad is ”not worried” about the security of his country, and also warned NATO against any foreign military operations against this country. The report continues by stating:

“I am not worried about the security situation right now, we can say the security situation is better… It may seem dangerous, but in fact we are able to deal with it,” Assad concluded.

Within hours of the February 22, 2011 earthquake striking Christchurch, Tzur, who is based in Canberra, flew to Christchurch, met up with the surviving members of Mizrahi’s team, and drove them to the airport. It is being widely reported that Mizrahi’s associates left New Zealand within twelve hours after the earthquake struck, but there is hardly any mention of the fact that Tzur himself drove them them to the airport:

Undeclared Israeli Nuclear Weapons: CIA Knew In 1974 That Israel Had Nuclear Weapons

Much attention has been placed on Iran and their supposed nuclear weapons program by the United States and Israel.

What isn’t talked about on a regular basis in the corporate controlled media is the fact that Israel has an illegal, undeclared nuclear arsenal.  While many are already aware of the facts regarding the Israeli Nuclear Program, there is an absurd amount of people who still pretend Israel is a sitting duck surrounded by powerful enemies.

This is a topic that I have brought up time and time again.  Israel is not a helpless victim.  They are a nuclear-armed country with financial backing from the United States.  In fact, they receive more financial and military aid from the United States than any other country in the world.  And they have nukes.  And Israel is not a signatory on the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. 

So, when Israel whines and cries about Iran gaining nuclear capability, I have ZERO sympathy for them.  Or anyone else for that matter.  Iran is a sovereign nation, like it or not, and if Israel, the United States, India, Pakistan, France, the UK, China, etc can have nuclear capability, why can Iran not?  You want to talk about liberty issues?  Fairness?  Sovereign means just that; sovereign.  And this policy of pre-emptively striking countries is absurd and not in line with the Rule of Law, both technically and morally.  Iran is years and years away from having a refined weapon of mass destruction and until that day comes; until they have the intention and capability, you can’t undermine their sovereignty. 

When the designers and engineers of the first atomic weapon described it as “opening Pandora’s box,” they were correct.  We were the first to design and use one and now have to constantly play this juggling act and make sure only certain others acquire the technology and material.  We made this bed and now we get to lie in it.  Sadly, we often DO “lie” about weapons of mass destruction, other nations’ intentions and justify pillaging a country for its resources as “protective, pre-emptive kinetic action, limited in scope and duration.”

Granted, this is my non-interventionist, peaceful-while-still-being-protective opinion. 

The reality is that our government knew, as far back as 1974, that Israel most likely possessed nuclear weapons.  In 2008 the National Security Archive released a once classified CIA document that indicated that Israel already had a stockpile of nuclear weapons in 1974....

Israeli fighter jets are conducting drills at a military base in Iraq in preparation for a strike on Iran, the Islamic Republic’s Press TV reported.

The report said the Israeli planes participating in the drills include F-15, F-16, F-18 and F-22 fighter jets. It said they have conducted weeklong exercises, flying mainly at night.

Press TV said its report was based on information received from a source close to Moqtada al-Sadr’s group in Iraq.

A new car ad in Israel has drawn considerable outrage for its implied promotion of running over Palestinian kids.

The commercial advertisement, published by a Subaru dealership in Israel, features the scene photographed last year when an Israeli settler struck two Palestinian children with his car in the East al-Quds (Jerusalem) neighborhood of Silwan before speeding away, Xinhua reported on Thursday.

“We’ll see who can stand against you,” reads the Hebrew line to the right corner of the picture.

The acting Palestinian Authority (PA) Chief Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah party has said the promotion of the act of aggression “is a dirty advertisement and propaganda that reached to the status of calling for [the] killing Palestinian children by running them over.”

The attacker, named David Be’eri, is the director-general of Elad, a hard-line real estate development conglomerate.  The organization encourages Jews to move into dense neighborhoods in East al-Quds.

The United States worked behind the scenes to help Israel contain UN probes into possible war crimes committed during the 2008-2009 Gaza war, Foreign Policy reported Tuesday.

The online foreign affairs magazine cited exclusive WikiLeaks cables detailing moves by the US ambassador to the UN Susan Rice to prevent a more thorough UN investigation of alleged abuses during the conflict.

Some 1,400 Palestinians and 13 Israelis were killed during the three-week-long Israeli offensive in December 2008 and January 2009, which was aimed at halting Palestinian rocket attacks.

According to one cable, Rice spoke with UN chief Ban Ki-moon three times on May 4, 2009 to urge him to remove recommendations for a wider investigation from a board of inquiry report into attacks on UN sites in Gaza.

Rice “underscored the importance of having a strong cover letter that made clear that no further action was needed and would close out this issue,” the US diplomatic cable said.

Ban said his staff was working with the Israeli delegation and “called her after the letter had been finalized to report that he believed they had arrived at a satisfactory cover letter.”

Later that year Israel and the United States pushed back against a similar effort to investigate the war by the UN Human Rights Council, which appointed a team led by the South African jurist Richard Goldstone....

KHARTOUM – Sudan’s Foreign Minister Ali Karti on Wednesday accused Israel of carrying out an attack on Tuesday near Port Sudan that killed two people and said Khartoum reserved the right to react to the aggression.

“This is absolutely an Israeli attack,” he told reporters.

He said Israel undertook the attack in order scupper Sudan’s chances of being removed from a U.S. list of state sponsors of terrorism.

One of the two people killed in the strike was a Sudanese citizen who had no ties to Islamists or the government, he said.

Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor declined to comment on the accusation.

The United Nations has warned that the demolition of the Palestinian residences by Israelis has been breaking the record for the past three months. “The number of Palestinian buildings in the West Bank demolished by the Israeli authorities has hit a record high for the third consecutive month,” said Chris Gunness, spokesman for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees on Sunday, AFP reported.

“The number of people forcibly displaced by these demolitions has also hit a record monthly high with 158 people forcibly displaced in March by demolitions, including 64 children,” he said.

The official said respectively 29, 70 and 76 homes had been razed to the ground each month since January.

The policy clearly aims at “discrimination against one ethnic group,” Gunness noted.

Tel Aviv is accused of implementing an apartheid system, under which it indulges Jews while withholding basic requirements from the Palestinians.

The destructions have been carried out coincidental with Israel’s building of illegal Jewish settlements in the West Bank and East al-Quds (Jerusalem). Tel Aviv occupied the two Palestinian territories in 1967 and later annexed them, in a move not recognized by the international community....

Afghan President Hamid Karzai has always been on the outside edge of politics.  His claim to fame was becoming a hero during the Mujahedeen resistance to the Soviets in the 1990′s.  His nefarious brother, Ahmed Wali Karzai, is of particular interest for his role in the booming heroin trade and the subsequent troop surge in Marja (Helmand Province).  Ahmad Wali is most likely the top drug lord of Afghanistan, if not the entire region and rules the trade routes with an iron fist under the guise of being a businessman.

Ahmad Wali Karzai served time in US Federal prison for trafficking heroin but returned to Afghanistan and created a very large and very feared “security company” that essentially controls trade in and around the Helmand Province, specifically “Highway 1″ (a strategic route).  The Helmand Province is considered to be the world’s most fertile region for growing poppies (opium/heroin). 

He and his minions charge convoys in order to pass through the region unharmed and many US Military commanders have even admitted to this yet continue to play along in order to avoid bloodshed and issues. His forces control passage of private trucks, civilians, military convoys and most importantly; the heroin....

Palestine’s delegation to the UN Human Rights Council walked out Monday in protest of US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s speech in which she criticized the council for bias against Israel.  [Bias?  You mean "angry that they are victims of genocide?  I'd be "biased," too!]  The Palestinian representative in Geneva on Tuesday confirmed reports in the Arabic media that delegates stormed out of Clinton’s speech, which was heavy on criticism of Israel’s neighbors and the UN body.

“We walked out to protest Clinton’s death-defying defense of Israel when she said the council was biased against Israel,” Ambassador Ibrahim Khreisha said Tuesday.

What I find terrifyingly humorous is that recently, Hillary Clinton gave a speech in which she supported and encouraged protestors to continue asserting their rights in various countries. She lectured about freedom and condemnded governments who don’t allow free expression. During this lecture, a former CIA analyst remained standing near the front of the crowd, in silent protest against Hillary Clinton and the establishment that she represents. He was quickly taken down, beaten and hauled to jail....

The United States demanded today that the U.N. expert on Palestinian human rights be fired for suggesting that 9/11 was carried out by the U.S. government and then covered up by the American media.

“In my view, Mr. [Richard] Falk’s latest commentary is so noxious that it should finally be plain to all that he should no longer continue in his position on behalf of the U.N.,” said Susan Rice, U.S. envoy to the world body. (Hayden’s Note: Well, luckily Ms. Rice is only an ambassador to the UN.  I’ll take Mr. Falk’s credentials over her’s anyday.)

Falk, a law professor from Princeton University, wrote in his blog on Jan. 11 that “awkward gaps and contradictions in the official explanations” fuel suspicions that the United States staged the terror attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

“What may be more distressing than the apparent cover up is the eerie silence of the mainstream media, unwilling to acknowledge the well-evidenced doubts about the official version of the events: an al Qaeda operation with no foreknowledge by government officials. Is this silence a manifestation of fear or cooption, or part of an equally disturbing filter of self-censorship?” Falk wrote....
