The Southern Poverty Law Center has profiled “36 individuals at the heart of the resurgent patriot movement.” Among these “threats” and “conspiracy theorists” are names such as; former IRS Agent Joe Banister, US Representative Ron Paul, former State Judge Andrew Napolitano, former Police Officer Jack McLamb, former Sheriff Richard Mack, documentary film producer Gary Franchi and a host of other well respected, hard working, freedom loving Patriots.

Bill Clinton and the corporate media waste no time in dancing on the graves of 168 dead men, women and children to demonize their political opposition.

The CNN report featured a lingering shot of a web page advertising a Tea Party event while the correspondent discussed charges of killing police using explosives. Despite the fact that other patriot groups have gone to great lengths to ostracize themselves from the Hutaree as a result of their behavior, the media has exploited the raids to imply that every militia and Tea Party group shares their violent agenda.

I can always count on the Southern Poverty Law Center to provide comic relief, so I headed over to their site to see what “intelligence report” had been written about the recent Democratic Office Window Breaking incidents. As usual, the SPLC did not fail at providing me with a great laugh.

*UPDATED* In order to get the website a bit of publicity, I began posting some of the articles on FaceBook and Twitter. Lo’and behold, I linked to an article about the Southern Poverty Law Center and their recent “intelligence report” regarding the surging citizen Patriot movement. In essence, their report labels them as a hate group or violent militia. After railing on them a bit in my editorial, and posting on a friend’s Facebook, I discover the SPLC spent close to 5 hours on TruthisTreason.net this morning.

The number of extremist groups in the United States exploded in 2009 as militias and other groups steeped in wild, antigovernment conspiracy theories exploited populist anger across the country and infiltrated the mainstream, according to a report issued today by the Southern Poverty Law Center. (Hayden’s Note: I hate the SPLC. They are simply a radical government’s mouthpiece, trying to instill fear in the masses and slandering every respectable citizen in the process.)
