When I Was a Police Officer…

Most of these were taken when I was working on the 2nd District Task Force – a street crimes unit, essentially. Our goal was to arrest dope dealers and violent felons. While I am strongly against the War on Drugs, most of these pictures were taken before I had my eyes opened. Also, I believe there is a balance that can be struck between arresting those who need to be off the streets, such as violent felons slinging dope to the young and old alike, and allowing personal choice and freedom.
